This next lady was one of the first followers I had on my blog. Shortly after I started my blog, she decided she needed to do so herself. Over the past few months, we've grown to be good friends. Making new, wonderful friends, is one of the many reasons I love having this blog. I give you Carrie of ink&polish!

Each nail was prepped the same- I used Essie's Grow Stronger as my base coat, NYC Grand Central Station for the top coat and After the swatches I used Beauty Secrets Cuticle Oil and Drying Drops (two-in-one formula).

Starting from thumb to pinky finger I've got these colors on:

Thumb- Zoya: Wednesday

Index- Essie: Turquoise and Caicos

Middle- China Glaze: For Audrey

Ring- Wet n Wild: I Need A Refresh-Mint

Pinky- Julep Robin

Here's what they look like after one coat on each finger:

After one coat, here's my impressions:  

Zoya- Great coverage. This one could be a one-coater

Essie- Watery, streaky

CG-Thick, kind of goopy, hard to paint a thin coat

WnW- I love these brushes- a bit streaky with one coat

Julep- way too thick but very well pigmented.

Two Coats:

After two coats and top coat here's my impressions:

Julep- long dry time since it's thick- it only needed two coats to smooth it out because this one is really pigmented.

WnW- After two coats, this one was great. It wasn't too thick or thin, it's cheap and it's a dead ringer for For Audrey.

CG- I'm not as in love with the formula as I am with the color. Mine bubbles :(

Essie- Watery still. I used three coats on this one; it slid into my cuticles when painting and was a bit hard to control.

Zoya- A one-coat wonder. I used two coats because it's habit, but this baby didn't need a second.

So...any dupes in the bunch?

The Julep is more blue than the others. No dupe here.

Wet n Wild Refresh-Mint and China Glaze For Audrey are near identical. If you want to save yourself some money- get the WnW! (well, that is if you like the WnW brushes, I know people don't love it as much as I do sometimes).

Essie Turquoise and Caicos and Zoya Wednesday are REALLY close, but not dupes. The Essie is a bit more seafoam tinted.
