Yesterday, a friend showed me this picture (below) and asked if I thought it was a stamp or art. She really wanted to be able to try it on herself. I'm not great at nail art, nor do I pretend to be. I am trying to improve though. I really wasn't fully sure if it was a stamp or not, but I told her to come over the following day and we'd give it a try. Plus, I hadn't talked to her in a while so it would be nice to have coffee and chat anyways.

Together we decided to use the picture as inspiration and not try to duplicate it. We wanted to use some of the little pearls I recently reviewed as a couple of the beads. We decided to use the rosary as an accent nail and opted to do a different color on the rest of the nails.

This is what we decided on using.

Left to right: Cult Nails - Nevermore, Rimmel London - Stiletto Red and Cult Nails - Tempest.

First I stared with Cult Nails Get It On base coat on all nails. Once dry, I did 2 coats of Cult Nails - Nevermore on both ring fingers. While that dried I did two coats of Rimmel London - Stiletto Red on the other 8 nails. Once all that was dry, I put a little dab of Cult Nails - Tempest on a paper plate and used a dotting tool to make all the beads but 3 on each accent nail. I left a spot open for me to add the pearls later. After the dots were done, I used 2 different brushes to make the crosses. They didn't end up as straight or perfect as I would have liked, but they didn't turn out badly at all. We waited a good 15 minutes before adding Cult Nails Wicked Fast top coat so that it wouldn't drag, and it still did a little bit. Very disappointed, but it didn't drag badly. Lastly, I added the pearls to the empty spots.

My friend, Tami, was very pleased with the final look of it. As was I! I asked if I could take a couple pics and use it as my blog post today and she agreed! This was my first time doing nail art on someone else. I was so nervous but ended up happy with it! Take a peek!

What do you think?!

Have you been inspired by a mani recently that you just HAD to do it? If so, post pics on my Facebook wall! https://www.facebook.com/LacquerLoversUnite
