I hope you all had a lovely weekend, especially those of you two had a three day weekend. Hubs doesn't get holidays off so we had a fairly normal weekend. We went driving around and headed to our favorite small town to eat at this little gem of a cafe (we discovered it by accident one day). We ran into a parade so of course we had to hang out to watch it. I'm not one for parades, but a small town parade is a lot of fun! I'm not fully converted, but I don't think I'll be able to say no to a small town get together now. After the parade, and lunch at the little cafe, we headed over to our favorite farm for some homemade ice cream and to get some other little goodies. We had forgotten the farmers market started back up so we missed that on Saturday, but I've already made note so we can go next Saturday. I'm super excited to be able to get back into the swing of that. On to why you're really here...

This post was originally to be for Monday, but I blanked on it being Memorial Day until some patriotic products came in. I'm beyond excited to show off these beauties from a brand new indie. Lorelei Lacquer is a new 5-Free, hand mixed, indie company, founded by the creative Jeanine, that will be opening up shop, officially, on June 26th. However, I've got her introductory collection on the blog today, because it will be available to pre-order on Friday May 29th! Her first collection is inspired by Adventure Time, a cartoon that you either love, hate, or know nothing about. I have a quirky 5 year old that absolutely LOVES it, and I've grown fond of it as well. Anything that promotes imagination, no matter how off the wall it is, I'm for. She originally got into it because of my brother. It was something special she could share with her uncle.
The Adventure Time Collection is a 7 piece (used to be 8 but there were multiple complications with BMO so it was pulled for now. She is looking into solving the issues though, so don't worry) collection inspired by some of the main characters in this fun and quirky cartoon. To get you in the mood, I've included the opening to the cartoon!

**WARNING PICTURE HEAVY**
Finn is described as "a blue shimmer holo with green fleck".
Shown is three coats of Finn.
Finn is absolutely stunning. I thought it was just a basic sapphire blue holo. Then I put it on my nails and that green fleck caught the light. I was beside myself. Yup, just like in the show, Finn had a few surprises up his sleeve. Perfect application with a wonderful formula.

Jake is described as "a clear based glitter topper loaded with different shades and sizes of yellow, white, and holo glitter".
Shown is one coat of Jake over LOOK Nail Color Oh Say Can You See.
Just like in the cartoon, Jake is full of different shapes. No fishing for glitter here, even with the mini I was sent. I was shocked! Usually minis and glitter toppers don't go well together. No issues here! Pulled the brush out and they were all clinging to it ready to be spread on the nail.

If you love both Finn and Jake, you'll be able to get them as a duo for only $8 mini/16 full HERE.

Fionna is described as "a hot pink with turquoise flash and holo shimmer".
Shown is three coats of Fionna.
Fionna is beyond incredible! It's the perfect neon hot pink, then add some holo and that amazing flash of blue and it'll knock your socks off! I love it so much, I'll be buying a full sized bottle during the pre-order. It is absolute perfection in every way. Do not skip out on this polish, especially if you are a fan of pink polishes. She's fun and adventures and full of spunk, just like in the cartoon.

Cake is described as "a clear based glitter topper loaded with different shades of gold and silver glitter and flakes".
Shown is one coat of Cake over LOOK Nail Color Rocket's Red Glare.
The perfect blend of gold and silver, Cake is a must have topper! A great way to jazz up a mani after a few days or the icing to the perfect accent nail.

If you love both Fionna and Cake, you'll be able to get them as a duo HERE for only $8 mini/$16 full.

Princess Bubblegum is described as "purple toned pink crelly with lilac holo flakes, fuchsia metallic flakes, and dark fuchsia micro glitter".
Shown is three coats of Princess Bubblegum.
Princess Bubblegum is so much fun! It's light and creamy, sparkly, with quirky edges. For the most part it was easy to apply, but a couple times the flakes got finicky and difficult to work with. A little maneuvering with a toothpick and all was well! You can't even tell I had issues after top coat was applied. A unique beauty that I quickly fell for.

Marceline is described as "a grey crelly with black opal, lavender, and red holo moon glitter".
Shown is three coats of Marceline.
I'm a huge fan of grey polishes! I also love a good cloudy rainy day. Marceline is right up my alley, yes, even with the moon shaped glitter (which I normally hate). It applied beautifully, a little sheer, which is why it requires 3 coats, and no fishing for glitter! Now, I say no fishing for glitter, but when certain glitter didn't come out with one nail, but multiples came out on another nail, I did place it on other nails. Not a turn off for me, it's lovely!

Lumpy Space Princess is described as "a light, dusty pink, lavender with red fleck, gold flakies, and mini matte black stars".
Shown is three coats of Lumpy Space Princess.
Lumpy Space Princess was the big shocker of the collection for me. I fell in love with it after the second coat. It's the perfect shade of pinky purple, then you add the hints of red and all the stunning gold flakes and it's absolute perfection! I don't even mind the stars. They add the perfect bit of contrast to the polish. Such a soft, feminine beauty with a hint of darkness. Amazing formula, with wonderful application. No fishing for the star glitter, but if more came out on one nail I tossed a few onto the nails without. I can't wait to use it again!

What do you all think? A pretty stellar first collection for Lorelei Lacquer, huh? Each polish is more lovely than the last. The Adventure Time Collection is such a perfect freshman collection. It's fun and quirky and so very well rounded. There's something for everyone here.

Lorelei Lacquer will be opening up shop June 26th, but if you want to ensure that you get your hands on the Adventure Time Collection, it will be available to pre-order from Friday May 29th at 6 pm CST until Friday June 5th at 11:59 pm CST. You can buy each polish separately in mini or full size for $4 - $10 or you can get the whole collection for $31 mini/$59 full. Because it is a pre-order, it will take about 2-3 weeks for products to be shipped out. So, there's a chance you could have your order by the time the shop opens. Be sure to follow her links below to keep up with updates, news, info, and more swatches!

In addition to the pre-order, she will also have a discount code available. Use the code LLGrandOpen to get 20% off your order if you purchase between the opening on Friday May 29th at 6 pm CST and 11:59 pm CST that same night. At midnight the coupon code will be good for 15% off until the end of the pre-order on Friday June 5th at 11:59 pm CST.

Jeanine really did such a phenomenal job with each polish, making sure each one was perfect and full of personality to match the character. Once she gets BMO back on track, I hope to show it off to you all as well. What are your thoughts on the collection? Anything catch your eye? Since I opened with the beginning of the cartoon, it's only appropriate that I leave you with the ending to the cartoon.
