**The products in this post were both purchased by me with my own money and provided to me by the manufacturer for my honest review. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated.**

It's Monday, and I hope you've had your cup of coffee (or tea) (or whatever you enjoy in the mornings) because you need to be wide awake for today's post. Back in May, I had the pleasure of helping introduce you all to a new indie, Lollipop Posse Lacquer, with swatches of a few of her Dancing Girl Collection polishes. They were wonderful, and Lollipop Posse Lacquer was welcomed into the community with open arms. Not only will you guys flip over these beauties in her Midsummer Midnights Collection, but you'll run towards them screaming "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE!!".

She's switching things up with the Midsummer Midnights Collection. The polishes aren't all named after songs this time around. One is taken from a quote in a book, and another is from a poem. On top of that, she released darks in the middle of summer! (I mean, who does that?! Well, it's happening, just wait until tomorrow's post. You'll see more darks there too!) I'm also loving all the new music and reading I've discovered through Lollipop Posse Lacquer's collections.

You ready to see these babies up close? (I've included the videos so you can listen to the inspiration while browsing the photos.)
**WARNING PICTURE HEAVY**
"Do I stress you out? My sweater's on backwards and inside out,
and you say how appropriate."
-Alanis Morissette "All I Really Want"

Backwards and Inside Out is described as "a linear holographic with a dark green base that will show a subtle, almost hidden, shift to navy blue".
Shown is three coats of Backwards and Inside Out.
Backwards and Inside Out is going to mess with your head big time. In some lights it is a straight up dark blue. You can't see the green in it at all. For me, it was definitely a deep teal the entire time I had it on. If I look at it in the bottle, it's straight up dark blue though. I even got in an argument with my husband over it. So, don't get me started. All you need to know is that it is gorgeous and had a flawless formula.

"I miss you, but I haven't met you yet.
So Special, but it hasn't happened yet.
You are gorgeous, but I haven't met you yet.
I remember, but it hasn't happened yet."
-Bjork "I Miss You"

But I Haven't Met You Yet is described as "a deep red, pink-leaning crelly with pink micro flakies to create depth".
Shown is three coats of But I Haven't Met You Yet.
But I Haven't Met You Yet stands out in this collection, as it is the only one that doesn't have any holo in it. It feels more jelly than crelly, but definitely not as sheer as a jelly is. Smooth application and gorgeous color. You can't go wrong with this one.

"The looking glass, so shiny and new.
How quickly the glamour fades.
I start spinning, slipping out of time.
Was that the wrong pill to take?
"
-Florence + the machine "Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)"

Slipping Out of Time is described as "a navy crelly base that suspends blue-gold shifting flakies and sparkling silver holographic glitters".
Shown is three coats of Slipping Out of Time.
THIS.BLUE. This blue, you guys! Any of you fans of galaxy manis? Yeah, Slipping Out of Time needs to be the base color for one of those. I can't do them, so someone PLEASE get this polish and do a galaxy mani over it. So much depth. From the color to the formula to the application...it is fantastical!

"I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead;
I lift my lids and all is born again.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)"
-Sylvia Plath "Mad Girl's Love Song"

Inside My Head is described as "a black jelly base that suspends a dusting of micro holographic gold glitter and multiples sizes of gold flakes".
Shown is three coats of Inside My Head.
Inside My Head is in my top 2 from this collection. I'm currently on a gold kick, but I wasn't convinced about this polish from it in the bottle. It comes to life once on your nail and in the light. Now, it's definitely in my "Top 5 Favorite Indie Blacks" list. Trust me, it's THAT good.

"This fruit was bruised, dropped off and blue.
Out of season, happy I'm bleeding.
Long overdue.
Too early and it's too late."
-PJ Harvey "Happy and Bleeding"

This Fruit Was Bruised is described as "a deep, bruised burgundy/purple linear holographic".
Shown is three coats of This Fruit Was Bruised.
This Fruit Was Bruised should be on everyone's wish lists. It's a must have polish...period. She first sent me 4 polishes from the collection, I loved them so much I threw my money at her and had her send the other two. While I waited, I wore this polish in three other manis before I fully swatched it. I can't get over this color. It is truly something special.

"Pulling heads off Barbies,
sticking them on the TV antenna
and ruining the reception.
But that's how witch babies are."
-Francesca Lia Block "Weetzie Bat"

That's How Witch Babies Are is described as "a vivid blurple crelly base with neon purple flakies and a scattered holographic effect".
Shown is three coats of That's How Witch Babies Are.
That's How Witch Babies Are is another one of those polishes that will play tricks on your mind with it's color changing capabilities. Sometimes you'll swear it's purple, other times you'll swear it's blue, and you'll swear up a storm if you try to photograph it. Another polish my husband and I argued over. It's that freaking white/gold dress all over again! (Yes, the dress is white and gold! Get over it!) Well, there's only one way to settle this debate...everyone buy a bottle and tell me what color you think it is!
