It's the first day of school here in Maryland. It's weird having the house so quiet this early. But I'm enjoying my coffee without any interruptions and, as much as I miss her...I've missed this. Can't relax for long cause I have to start prepping for our vacation. Today, I get to show you the newest collection from SuperChic Lacquer. She decided to stay away from her super holos this time, and went for more of a playful route...glow-in-the-dark polishes. The Firefly Collection is a set of seven super-squishy, transparent, jelly shades that consist of 3 amazing special effects: intense reflective iridescent micro glitters, scattered holo micro glitters, and a strong glow in the dark pigment. This is the perfect set of rainbow beauties for a manicure fit for a night at a haunted house. Keep reading to find out more!

The Firefly Collection may be sheer, but they seem to build well after three coats. You could even do one coat over a solid base if you didn't want a ton of glitter. The base was a little runny, so don't try to overload your brush. I did with the first couple and the sides of my nails got flooded. It cleans up easily, but no one likes flooded nails...so consider this your warning. I'm not sure how glow-in-the-dark base does if you try to sponge it on, but you can always try that! If you do...let me know how it works! I did three coats of each of these except for Starlit. It seemed to cover pretty well and I was curious how it would glow vs the three coats of the others. I was disappointed with the glow on the two coats, so I really have to recommend the three coats when wearing on their own. Especially if you want a good glow. Make sure they are charged well. I tried to get as many pictures as I could for each charge and it didn't seem to work well for what I needed them for. If you do it right, your manicure could turn out looking REALLY cool!
