Today's post is really special. Taryn, the beautiful soul behind Anchor & Heart Lacquer, was trying to figure out what to do for the new year. Last year, each month had a special duo that was only available for the month. It had a great response, but she wanted to change it up this year. Every time she tried to talk about this current year's monthly special I could sense some frustration. She wasn't 100% happy with anything. I asked her if I could give her a suggestion. When I said that, I honestly had no idea what I was going to tell her, but she needed something. Maybe some back and forth banter would push her to the right idea. Then, it hit me! I mentioned maybe calling them Messages in a Bottle, and having each one named for a mantra or just something that might brighten someone's day. Lately, a lot of us need that extra bit of kind words or show of support. Hearing what we need to hear could be as easy as looking at the bottom of a bottle of nail polish. As I was telling her, my eyes were welling up with tears. When she told me it was exactly what she was looking for, she was crying. It was perfect! It was just what she needed to hear. Now that I've started crying just typing all that out, let's get to the polishes. I hope you like them as much as we do!

I'm going to keep it short and sweet today. Kiddo is off school today, and I've got a big week of prepping and packing for a trip we are taking at the end of the week. I got these two pretties from Bad Bitch Polish a while ago, but just haven't gotten to show them off yet. She let me be sneaky and buy the Mystery polish even though it was supposed to be a gift with purchase. Then, when it arrived she tossed in The Veldt. I got so excited. She knows I love greens. Any form. Luckily, The Veldt is still available, so go take a peek!

LynBDesigns Jubilee Limited Edition Swatch and Review

If you've never purchased from LynBDesigns before, I'm going to show you yet another reason why you should. Not only are her polishes beautiful and unique and very well priced, but she has sales all the freaking time!! Not sales like 10% or 15% off but full blown 50% off sales. A lot of the time, she will have a free GWP (gift with purchase) to go along with said sale. I honestly can't remember if it was last week or the week before, but she had a sale. There was a code for 50% off and if you bought 3 or more polishes you got a free GWP. A polish that you wouldn't be able to buy on its own. This polish is stunning, you have to see it!

That means the polishes will be readily available to purchase and will more than likely be versatile. I didn't know much about O-My Jewels before she sent the product, so I went in with an open mind. It's a new year, and LynBDesigns has decided to shake things up a bit. This year, she will have two limited edition polishes every month. The first one is her Polish of the Month and the second one is a Throwback of the Month. The Throwback of the Month will be chosen by the LynB Loves Facebook group. Road to PolishCon Different Dimension Heaven From Hell Swatch and Review

Happy Monday, everyone! It's a wonderful day for me. Not only do I get to show you all an absolutely gorgeous polish, but my kiddo is home from school. It may throw off my day, but I love having her with me. Yesterday, she built a stage so we can put on puppet shows later on. Can't wait to find out what story we will be doing. But first, back to the polish. 

If you haven't heard, there is an event called PolishCon. The next PolishCon will be held in NYC in April. As a little introduction to the different vendors that will be at the event, every week two vendors will be featured with a limited edition polish that will only be available during their week. They are now up to week 6, and the two vendors featured this week are Great Lakes Lacquers and Different Dimension. Both of these makers drew inspiration from the lyrics to Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here". The polish I have to show you today is Heaven from Hell from Different Dimension. It will only be available until January 21st, so keep reading to see my review and swatches. Don't wait too long to make up your mind!!

CoverGirl Outlast VoxBox Review

I was really excited to be told I would be getting the CoverGirl Outlast VoxBox from Influenster. I'm not one who really stays on top of the newest cosmetic items. So being able to try out new items from CoverGirl made me happy. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, so when I opened the box to see concealer, finishing powder, and a lip color. Simple and basic items that everyone can use. The Outlast line was created to last an entire day without touch ups. Did you know we touch our face over 500 times a day? In addition to the elements and skin type factors, the amount of times we touch our face can effect the look of our make up. I've honestly been aware of exactly how many times I touch my face. I hate it, but it really is a hard habit to stop. Let's go take a look at these!

I've got another Valentine's Day collection to show you all today. This one is more of a combination early Spring/Valentine's Day collection though. Tomorrow, Different Dimension will be releasing her My Forever Fairytale Collection. It is a set of six polishes, some with micro flakes and some with micro glitters, in soft pastels with a dusting of holo. This collection is so ethereal and whimsical, you'll have a hard time passing this one up. I love that it is soft and romantic, but strong and independent at the same time. Perfect for those who celebrate Valentine's Day and those who celebrate Galentine's Day. Ready to get a look at these? Since I've been showing you a lot of color, how about a nice palate cleanser collection? Zoya has released their Naturel 3 Collection. It's the third installment in their Naturel series. A set of six nudes and neutrals cream polishes. Some of these even have a lovely purple tinge to them. On top of the polishes, there are also three beautiful lipsticks that go along with the Naturel 3 Collection. The lip sticks are in shades that pair beautifully with the polishes. This coming Friday, January 6th, is a big day for Chrissy from Turtle Tootsie Polishes. 5 years ago on that date she was diagnosed with stage 2b breast cancer. Since then, she has battled through chemo and radiation, and is still fighting with neuropathy that was caused by the treatments.
