Lorelei Lacquer The Cake is NOT a Lie Duo Swatch and Review

**Press Sample**
I can't believe it's the last day of August!! This excites me, as I'm so ready for fall. Bring on the cooler weather. I can't stand summer. I love September! Other than the cooler are back in school, things are able to get done around the house without them being immediately messed up again, the fair is around the corning, and it's my daughter's birthday month. Not only is it my daughter's birthday month, but it's Jeanine's birthday month. Jeanine is the creative crazy genius behind Lorelei Lacquer. In honor of her birthday (which just happens to be the day after my daughter's birthday), she has created The Cake is NOT a Lie Duo. I can't wait to show these to you guys!!

My First Indie Lacquistry Lake Placid on Acid

**Nothing to disclose**
Last month, a bunch of us bloggers got together and showed off our own little "Top 5" lists. Today, we are all getting together to show you off our very first indies. Since I'm showing off so many collections this week, I'm keeping it short and sweet.

My first indie was Lacquistry Lake Placid on Acid. I won this beauty in a giveaway and it was practically a gateway drug. Come down the rabbit hole with me...

JessLacquer OMFG Collection Swatch and Review

**Press Samples**
On this lovely Tuesday morning, I get to bring a new indie to your attention. JessLacquer may have opened up shop in June, but her upcoming OMFG "Oh My Flakie Goodness" Collection is the collection that is sure to put her on the up and coming list. As I was swatching, each one was more incredible than the last. She put a lot of love into this collection and it shows. The OMFG Collection is a set of seven polishes in a mix of finishes: toppers, creams, crellies, and jellies. Not a bad one in the bunch!

I'm super excited about JessLacquer. Not just the polishes, it turns out she lives not too far from me. She asked me to swatch for her, I agreed and sent her my info. Then one evening my husband and I went to take the pup for a walk and there was a package on my front porch without postage. My husband's first words were "Okay, this polish thing is starting to get creepy.", but my first thought was "I've got a polish fairy!" So excited to find out there is someone so near! Now, are you ready to finally see these?!

Cameo Colours Lacquers Know Them, Be Them, Raise Them Collection Swatch and Review

**Press Sample**
Today, I took my daughter to school for her first day of first grade. (I'm going to get sappy here for a moment.) Taking her to school isn't hard on me at all. (I'm not saying that like I'm some cold-hearted bitch. I am an emotional wreck most of the time.) Most of the back to school posts are "Oh, I'll miss him/her so much! Why couldn't they wait another year to go./Can't they start next week?" That's not me. My daughter has always craved learning. She's also very independent. She's never-ever cried when having to be away from us, so why shouldn't I embrace her adventurous spirit too? I love my daughter with all my heart, but that attachment is what makes us want to protect them and be a bit selfish and want to keep them to ourselves. If I protect her though, and choose to be selfish, who am I really hurting? Am I hurting her? No, not if it's only once in a while. She loves cuddling up and reading together or coloring or playing games. Really, I'm hurting everyone else. If she is ready to go and conquer, who am I to stop her? That's the only way she's going to be able to change the world...right? She can't do it from under my wing. If I get teary eyed it's because I'm overwhelmed with pride. Not even 6 years old and she talks of the future like she's got it planned out just as she wants it. So, bring it on, first grade! Let's see what you've got in store for us this year!!

So, in honor of my daughter's adventurous spirit, and her taking on the world one day at a time, I figured I would show off the incredible Know Them, Be Them, Raise Them Collection that Cameo Colours Lacquers is releasing next week. This collection is inspired by and named after strong, wonderful women that have paved the way in different fields for women everywhere. Women we look up to in one way or another, whether we realize it or not. Just take a peek for yourself...

Glittering Elements Aspire To... Collection Swatch and Review

**Press Samples**
It's Monday!! Did you all have a wonderful weekend? I had an amazing time with my family enjoying National Harbor on Saturday and on Sunday we hit up an estate sale, some yard sales, and a winery for a tasting. It was such a wonderful time. I'm pooped though!

I know Mondays can be the worst. How about a fun inspirational post to perk you all up?! I have the gorgeous Aspire To... Collection from Glittering Elements to show you all. Glittering Elements is a beautiful indie from Australia. If you haven't purchased from her yet, you need to start considering it! (And you will be by the end of this post) By the time I received this collection it had already practically sold out. So, I swatched them and saved them for the restock. You ready to see these beauties? Ok, so maybe you're not. Well, are you ready to be inspired?!

Daily Hues Nail Lacquer Megan, Rayne, and Jenn Swatch and Review

**Press Samples**
Happy Friday!! We survived another week! I still can't believe I only have one more week left before my kid starts school up again. It's tiring trying to keep her busy and running her around everywhere. When did libraries start allowing kids to play and not be quiet?! I miss the good old days! hahaha

I'm so happy to finally show off these three polishes to you all. My first package got lost, then I received the next package and my nails broke. I've had these three beauties from Daily Hues Nail Lacquer swatched for a little bit, but then they had gotten stuck and I couldn't edit them for who knows what reason. I'm not great with technology. No clue why I thought starting a blog would be good. However, I do, and I finally have these to show off to you all!

Marbles for Polish Essentials Collection Partial Swatch and Review

**Press Sample**
This Wednesday, I have a few new beauties from Marbles for Polish upcoming Essentials Collection. I have to say, on top of what I received, I'm loving this collection. It's well rounded with both creams and glitters. I chose some really basic ones to review. Now that Cult Nails is out of the picture, I need a new go to black and white cream polish. When I saw those in the Marbles for Polish Essentials Collection, I knew they'd be mine! I had the hardest time decided what glitters to review though.

You guys ready?

Lorelei Lacquer Hypnotic LE Swatch and Review

**Press Sample**
I'm so sorry I have been posting so sporadically. I just have been enjoying the little bit of time I get with my daughter before school starts back up in 2 weeks. Summer was so much longer when I was a kid. We've been having fun, but I've missed you all. I hope you have missed me as well.

I have a couple collections to show off this week, but I wanted to start off with a short and sweet post. This beauty from Lorelei Lacquer is Hypnotic. I will tell you more about this very special limited edition polish at the end of this post. Go ahead and check out the swatches first! DO IT!

NOTD Blushing Kinky Mermaid

**Nothing to disclose**
Hello, everyone!! I'm back! I took a week off to fully enjoy the munchkin after she got back from hanging out with her grandmother for 3 weeks. We kept super busy and had a blast, but I missed you all! I snuck into my polish room late at night and did as much swatching as I could before I got tired. At the end of the week I knew I had to do a full mani or I'd drive myself crazy with naked nails. I grabbed a few polishes that I got in a destash and one that a friend sent my way. I LOVE how these three beauties work together. I knew I had to start the week with it.
