Hello, all! I'm sorry for the small break I had to take. We had company in town and leading up to that it was major cleaning time. I missed you all! In a couple weeks I will be having to take 2 weeks off again, but I'm looking into getting guest bloggers to cover that time. It's the munchkin's 3rd birthday, and the hubby will be out of town for a month so I'll be handling the cleaning and preparation and company on my own. I don't want to leave you guys high and dry like I did back in May. I didn't like doing that. Anywho...
I recently received my first VoxBox from Influenster. I got the Mom VoxBox. I hate to say that I was so excited about it... I totally forgot to take pictures. I know... shocking... I take so many pictures and I forgot to take a picture of the whole package. So, I'm sorry... I hate that I forgot, but I got a good box! That's why most of it is all gone! :o)
I've just recently started acquiring some of the lovely OPI Designer Series polishes. So many shades full of sparkle/glitter. Each one is absolutely stunning in its own way. Surprisingly enough, out of the few bottles of DS I own, DS Bold has been calling my name the most. Reds don't usually draw me in. Actually, I have to REALLY be in the mood to put on red. Even red clothes. It's not a color that I general have anywhere. Now that I say it like that, DS Bold is starting to sound like my "poison apple" or "forbidden fruit". UGH And that makes it even more sexy.
OKAY!!! Going to stop talking and just get to the pictures already... that's what you're really here for isn't it? ;o)

A few weeks ago, SneakPeeq had a deal where you'd get a $10 credit after peeqing at 5-10 items. During this deal, they had LEX Cosmetics as one of the brands they were offering. Luckily enough, when you peeqed their polishes they were $10. Perfect if you got the $10 credit! Well, when I went to check out, I noticed a link that said "Click here to get free shipping". Of course, I clicked it. I shared the info on my FB page and got free shipping on top of a free bottle of polish! Nothing much better than free polish huh?
I had never heard of LEX Cosmetics before that day. It was free polish, I didn't care. I did my mani, still didn't go to their page and research them. I wanted to be able to review the product freely without knowing anything. So, first off... here is the polish I picked out...

Yesterday, I had a baby shower to go to. It was a lot of fun! I hadn't seen my friend in 3 years. Actually, the last time she saw me was when I was pregnant with Maggie. And the funny thing is, she's due just a few days before Maggie's birthday. There's always that off chance her baby will be born on Maggie's birthday. Would be funny...
Anyway, for her baby shower I wanted to do something simple, but fun. I grabbed 10 of my blue glitter polishes and decided to do an ombre blue glitter mani. Obviously, I opted for blue because she's having a boy. I swiped each polish on a piece of paper so I could figure out what order to put them in. I thought I got it right, but after all was said and done, I had a couple that were a little off. It was ok though because it wasn't all that bad.
This is a little picture heavy so I'll get right to it!

**Products were sent for my honest review. All opinions are my own.**
Maria at Cult Nails was kind enough to send me some of her polishes to review. I was so excited to be able to do this for her. Most of you are familiar with Cult Nails polish, so for this review, I wanted to show the colors in their true form. I didn't layer them over anything. I didn't do anything fancy with them. Trust me, they shine on their own!

Since I've gone on an overload of reviews and pictures lately, I figured I'd take it easy on you all today and do a new Maggie's Corner post. :o) Today we've got A Little Kindness from Rainbow Honey's Equestria Collection. A Little Kindness is inspired by Fluttershy on My Little Pony Friendship is Magic.
**WARNING - PICTURE HEAVY**

The wonderful Sunny at 365 Days of Color sent me 2 polishes from her upcoming Toxic Love Collection to review. I was giddy with excitement when I saw them! She actually let me pick the ones I wanted to review. I knew right away I wanted Dangerously Beautiful and Killer Kiss.
The lovely Erin over at Nostalgic Nail Lacquer sent me a fun polish to review. When I opened the package, Maggie jumped in and snagged the bottle. She kept ooooing and ahhhhing over it. I think someone is going to have a love of matte glitter like her mommy! Do you wanna see which polish she sent?! Alright, I guess I should show you...
With all this heat, I've been dreaming of fall and winter weather. I honestly didn't realize it until I finished this manicure. I'm in love with this color combination and with this manicure. My last post was super long so I'm not going to draw this one out.
Lindsey at Maisie Shine sent me a bottle of the beautiful Bellini to review. I was so excited when I saw which polish she sent. It's absolutely gorgeous in the bottle, but once it was on my nails I was in love. I really didn't know what to expect with this polish. It's a shimmery, sheer, pale peach with gold holo hex glitter and gold micro glitter, so my first worry was, "How sheer is this going to be?" In the end, I never needed to worry. This is a gorgeous color. On it's own, it was perfect in 3 coats, and stunning in 1 coat over a nude base. I even tested it over 10 different colors to see what it would look like. By the end, I was definitely wanting to hunt down a peach bellini to drink (even though I don't really drink).
So, I've had a few Zoya polishes that have been quietly calling to me, "USE US! UUUUUUUUUUSE US!" The only way I could think of getting them all to shut up was to use them all and do a skittle mani. Have I ever mentioned how much I absolutely LOVE Zoya polishes? Well, I do. So what if I have to use 3 coats of some because its streaky or not opaque enough. The formulas and colors make up for any small issues that some of the polishes might have. My only complaint is that I don't own them all. It makes me quite sad actually. Maybe one day... *cue day dream*
Anyway... back to the skittle...
I have the amazing pleasure of doing a review for you all!! The ladies over at Two Birds One Store sent me a bottle of their lovely polish. I'm so giddy over this!! It's a combination of 2 of my faves, jelly and matte glitter. And boy, oh boy, is it FULL of glitter.
Recently, the darling Dahlia over at datyorkLOVES and Sassy Nails sent me a couple polishes she made. She's been playing around with polish for a little while and she has fun contests over at Sassy Nails to name the ones she makes. I helped name one of her polishes, so she decided to send it to me. She's such a sweetheart! When I got the package, I saw that she had sent me another polish she had made. This one she never asked for help naming. It was near and dear to her heart. She named it Love Life after the recent loss of her best friend. She made a touching post about him here.
A warning before I show pics. She doesn't do this to sell, she does this for her own satisfaction and for fun. She let me know that the glitter sunk and/or bled and that the base was watery and thin before sending it. I wasn't worried. She wanted to send it to me. I never asked or bought them from her. We are all polish lovers here. When we make something we are excited about we want to share them. Hence all the pictures of manis around here. :o) Anyway, since the polishes she sent were blue and red, I saw an opportunity to try them for my 4th of July mani. Here's the results!

I haven't received a bad Julep Maven box yet, but something about this month's box was extra special. (Maybe it was all the glitter... or the extra polish everyone got...) I loved all my colors, but I knew some of them needed to be used so I could see them to their full potential. We all know that most some of the time looks can be deceiving in the bottle, and you just gotta slap it on to discover the truth!
Happy Monday ladies!!! Today, I have a magnetic polish for you. I have 3 right now, but I haven't tried them yet. A neighbor friend picked up a Sally Hansen magnetic polish. She tried it and then expressed her concerns about it. She asked if I would try hers out to see if the polish was bad or if she just did it wrong. I gladly accepted and it turns out... I love it and I should have used the magnetics long ago!!
