As most of you know, my family decided to take a trip to Disney World right before Christmas. Well, the mani I did before we left just happened to have my 2 favorite polishes from this year. So, it's with a happy accident that this turned from a NOTD to a 2012 Favorite post.
Lately, I have been drooling over the OPI Skyfall collection. I love each and every one of them and I NEED them...yes NEED...don't judge a polish-a-holic! Well, I have one. On a recent trip to ULTA I snagged the ONLY polish that was left in the Skyfall display. Slow but surely, they will ALL be mine!
Rescue Beauty does what is called Bring It Back (BIB). Where they will bring back some colors that had been discontinued. This time they brought back 6 beauties! I snatched up two of the BIB colors (before one of them sold out thank goodness) and also a third color but not one from BIB (right before it sold out thank goodness). This is one of the 2 I got from the BIB sale.
This is my first comparison post. As I was grabbing polishes for some reviews I noticed that two of my polishes were EXTREMELY similar. I don't know how I didn't notice it until now.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!! I hope you all are having a beautiful day with your loved ones!
It's no secret, SinfulColors polishes have a tendency to become addictive! At $1.99 they are a fantastic formula and it's even better when anyone has them on sale for $0.99!! We all tend to go a little over board on them and we never feel bad about it. At least I know I don't. haha This is one of my more recent purchases from them

I had been eying Scandalous for quite a while and when Cult Nails had a sale several weeks back, I snatched it up...along with a couple others. It arrived around the same time as my Ornate collection arrived. I knew I had to pop them together. It started out as a jelly sandwich that went ALL sorts of wrong!!! I know I told you all I would show you the good and the bad, but it was just plain disgusting! You didn't want to see it.
I really only ever buy L'Oreal polishes when I happen to have coupons on me. It's not a brand I usually go to when I am looking at polishes. However, all the ones I do have have wonderful formulas and apply so well. These are the two most recent polishes by L'Oreal that I snatched up. Something about them just caught my eye and I happened to have two coupons on me. Turns out, they look beautiful together...
Lately I've been loving cremes with just a hint of shimmer that helps give it some depth. That's exactly why this polish caught my eye! I couldn't wait to get it on my nails!!
I jumped on the Rescue Beauty bandwagon pretty late. I had admired from afar, but the $18-$20 price tag kinda made me cringe. I'd put some in my cart, then realize I still had to talk it over with my husband and decided it wasn't worth that argument (Come on...we've all been there!). lol But then... then came Halcyon. The swatches were mesmerizing! I really just wanted to bathe in it's beauty. Then the "running low" statuses started on their Facebook page. I started panicking and finally decided to talk to my husband about it and before I knew it, Halcyon was sold out and placed gently to rest in the RIP folder. I let him know how distraught I was over this. So heart broken. So what did he do? He got on ebay and won a bottle for me. Even ended up paying double what it originally was. So, of course, if he did that, then the $18-$20 price tag wasn't so bad after all.

This week, my family and I are on vacation. Since I've been doing so many reviews on indie makers lately, you haven't seen any NOTD posts. Luckily I've been taking pics and not just letting them slide by. So while I'm gone you will see the manicures that I've done and haven't shown you over the past couple months. Because these are over a little bit of time, there are differences in the nail shapes so don't be alarmed. :o)
I know I'm a little late in showing you my It Girl November Maven box from Julep, but these beauties were worth waiting for! It's no secret I'm a sucker for a matte finish. Well, the November Maven box was chalk full of matte goodness! I was so giddy when they sent out the preview emails! If only I could have gotten one of everything!
TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! What's the best way to celebrate a birthday? A PARTY!!!!!! So, let's close this Hometown Holiday collection with an Ugly Sweater Party!!
Happy Thursday to all!! This next one is probably my favorite out of the five in LynBDesigns' Hometown Holiday collection. If you haven't yet decorated your tree, this will definitely put you in the mood to do so.
Happy Wednesday everyone!!! I know there have been 101 red and white glitter topcoats this holiday season, but they've all be so much fun! Today's polish from LynBDesigns is no exception!
**THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED**
My birthday is December 14th, but I've decided to start my giveaway early because I love you all so darn much!!
My birthday is December 14th, but I've decided to start my giveaway early because I love you all so darn much!!
Who know there would be a soft spot in my heart for the color brown? Well, more specifically...brown glitter. There is just something about it that I can almost never pass up! Well, this has fast turned into one of my favorites from the LynBDesigns Hometown Holiday Collection.
Happy Monday to all!!! Today is the start of my birthday week!! My birthday is Friday the 14th! The big 3-1! I'm not thrilled about it, but it's my birthday, so the excitement Trumps the sting of getting older. Because it's my birthday week, I'm showcasing a wonderful indie company ALL week long! One new polish every day.
The wonderful, Jenna at LynBDesigns sent me her entire "Hometown Holiday" Collection to review. Look at these adorable labels!

I am finally finishing up the reviews from the last giveaway. SO MANY!!! haha So, we are ending the review-a-thon with another glitter from Trelly's M.I.S.C. Polish. I know, it looks like just another basic black, white and red glitter bomb. Those were my initial thoughts when I saw the bottle. I love with my gut reaction is wrong though. Once opened up and brushed on lovingly, Dance Education came to life!
I'm going to show you a couple beautiful glitters from Trelly's M.I.S.C. Polish. The second I saw this polish, and the name, I immediately thought of a book my husband often reads to our daughter. Then and there, I knew this polish would hold a special spot in my heart.
We've had a lot of red white and blue glitters lately. Today, I have an ORANGE, white and blue glitter for you! Rockstar Nails sent me this glitter packed bottle. I have to admit I was skeptical, all the shapes not usually my cup of tea, but this was done just right, it wasn't overwhelming and not too packed (even though the bottle is deceiving).
The last pretty polish I have for you from Darling Diva Polish is so much fun! This blue is enough to brighten anyone's day and keep a smile on your face.
First post of December! Can't believe the year is almost up! Every year just seems to fly by quicker than the one before. So crazy! Since the holiday season is upon us, and everyone seems to go a little nuts this time of year, I figured this next polish was appropriate. Another first of two, Darling Diva Polish.

You probably saw my review of Call Me Maybe yesterday. Beautiful orchid purple creme, but today we have a lovely white shimmer that perfectly resembles freshly fallen snow on a sunny day. I thought Pams & Kin made a perfect first impression, but their second impression is now permanently etched in my brain.
Today is the first of two Pams & Kin polishes. I am drawn towards purples. It's not my favorite color, but it seems to be that way when picking a polish to put on my nails. So, seeing this one when I opened the box was very exciting!
Today, I have a beautiful polish! There are only 2 bottles of this in existence! One for me, and the other is one of the prizes in my giveaway. Shannon, the wonderful lady behind Pahlish, created this purple glitter bomb. She was listening to David Bowie's Space Oddity while creating it, so she drew inspiration from it. That's also how it got it's name.
Ok, lovelies, any fellow holo freaks out there?? I love holo polishes!!! Linear, scattered, glitter... love 'em all!! My favorite color is green, so when this beauty arrived I flipped!
I decided to save my favorite Lac Attack, of the two I was sent, for last. This one was like a circus on my nails! It was so much fun!
Today is my first post with the ever lovely Lac Attack polishes. If you are a fan of Grease, you'll need to Hand Jive your way over to her shop and grab a bottle of this after you read this post.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! What a wonderful holiday! Thanksgiving is definitely my favorite holiday of the year. I usually get to spend it with my parents and siblings, just not this year. However it's our first Thanksgiving as just our little family. It will definitely be great together time. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
Once again, I'm going to keep the babble to a minimum and just let you enjoy the pictures and your family.
Can you believe it's Thanksgiving Eve?!?! I'm so excited! I love the holidays! I'm going to try to keep the rambling to a minimum so you can spend your day preparing for tomorrow instead of reading. There are a lot of pictures though! :o)
Today I have a lovely matte glitter polish from A Rhyming Dictionary.
I'm sad to say that sea is the last of the Land, Sea & Sky collection by Windestine. I figured we would end these reviews on a blue note.
Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Happy Monday, everyone!!!! Is everyone looking forward to Thanksgiving in a couple days?! I can't believe it's almost December already. Where has this year gone? 2013 is right around the corner and I, for one, can't wait to see what it has in store for me!!
I have another BEAUTIFUL glitter from Windestine for you all! I'll Fly With You is the "sky" portion of the Land, Sea & Sky collection. All 3 are beautiful, but this was hands down my favorite of the three. You'll see why shortly.
YAY!!!! It's Friday!! That makes next Friday Black Friday!! Unfortunately, I haven't seen any great deals yet. But I guess that means I'm saving money! :o) Never a bad thing.
Anyway, onto the good stuff! I have the Land, Sea & Sky collection from Windestine to show you over the next few posts.
I have a strange feeling my winter is going to be filled with purples and blues. I seem to really be drawn to them right now. I am loving the way the deep and mysterious plums and teals are making me feel so warm and cozy. I could definitely get used to this. Especially with colors like Pomegranate Nail Lacquer's Midnight Satellite and the beauty in today's post.
Can you guys believe Thanksgiving is next week?! This year has gone by WAY too quickly. Having fun with the blog and you all sure has made time fly. I know I tell you all this all the time, but I'm really in the Thanksgiving spirit right now. :o) I really am thankful for each and every one of you and all your support. I <3 and appreciate you all!
**WARNING PICTURE HEAVY**
Today I have a little something special for you all. The wonderful people at Julep sent me an It Girl Intro Maven box to review for you, then at the end of the review something extra special!!
Of course, I'm going to be ending the Daring Digits Harry Potter collection review with Slytherin. This was, by far, my favorite out of the four. There wasn't a bad one in the collection, but Slytherin has depth and there is something mysterious about it.
Happy Friday, lovelies!!! Today, I have the third polish in Daring Digits Harry Potter collection. This one really caught me off guard.
I was going to show you Hufflepuff today, but I just couldn't keep Gryffindor away! So, I let this beauty cut in line. Can you blame me though?
Today, I'm going to start reviewing the Daring Digits Harry Potter collection. I was so excited to see these show up on my doorstep. Each one is absolutely beautiful!! There are 4 polishes in the Harry Potter collection. Each one is named after a different Hogwarts house: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. Since Gryffindor and Slytherin are the 2 most popular houses, I'm going to start with Ravenclaw!
Daring Digits takes pride in her products. Every bottle is hand mixed by her. They are all 3 free and cruelty free. No frankening here, folks! The care she puts into her polishes really show!
Today I have something completely out of my comfort zone for you all! I'm really excited about this one too! I've been wanting to do a Cookie Monster manicure for sometime, but nail art makes me nervous. I don't have the steadiest of hands. Then there's the issue of doing my not-so-dominant hand and making sure they match. I decided yesterday that I would do my Cookie Monster manicure for my Election Day manicure. Yes, it's a non-traditional and a very unconventional Election Day manicure, but I'm showing my support for PBS (and I did a more basic Americana manicure for when I attended early voting). A big part of my childhood and I'd love for it to be a big part of my daughter's childhood. I'm not going to get political on you though. That's all I will say.
*****GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED*****
I have to thank you all for being so incredibly amazing!! I am so grateful for each and every one of you that have supported me on this journey. Is there a better way of showing my appreciation than a few giveaways?! I didn't think so!
I haven't really done a post that wasn't nail polish related since I first started this blog, but I received the newest VoxBox from Influenster to review. I figured I might as well review it here. Well, there were a couple items I didn't/couldn't review, but here goes!
Happy Friday, lovelies!! Today is the last day showing off Black Cat Lacquer's "Party Monster" collection. So sad, but next week... you guys might be in for a giveaway or 2 or MORE?!?!?!?!!!!! And I have so many more reviews for you all! <3
I know it's really late today, but my husband finally came home after being out and about in the areas effected by hurricane Sandy so we were all able just relax together. I still wanted to be able to get my post up though. I haven't forgotten about you all. :o)
Yes, I do have another Black Cat Lacquer for you! Only one more left after this! In the bottle, this was my least favorite of the bunch, but it changed my mind after application. Anyway, you know how I've been calling these the "Party Monster" Collection because they all remind me of the movie? This one is actually named after Party Monster! This is what it says on their ETSY shop under the listing for the bottle, "It doesn't matter what you look like! I mean if you have a hunchback, just throw a little glitter on it, honey, and go dancing! Inspired by one of my fave movies, Party Monster is a hot pink jelly base with dazzling aqua sparkles and matte glitter & shards!"
HAPPY HALLOWEEN, MY LOVLIES!!! I hope you all are having a wonderful and safe Halloween so far! I can't believe it will be November tomorrow! This year has flown by!
I have yet another Black Cat Lacquer polish for you today (and there are still 2 more to show you after this). This is one of my favorites from their "Party Monster" (It's not what the collection is called, but it's what I call it because all 5 of them scream the movie) collection. It's one of those softer, not-so-in-your-face but still catches your eye glitter top coats.

I have another Black Cat Lacquer beauty for you! It's another from what I'm just calling the Party Monster collection, because it just screams that movie and Club Kids!
On this very rainy Monday, I have the last of the Iron Clad Nails glitters. This blue is very appropriate for today. Once again, not a fan of bar glitters, but with only 1-2 coats, it's manageable.
I have another polish from Kunimitsu Nail Potions. I really enjoyed Seal Point Siamese, but this one is definitely my favorite of the two. There's so much going on in this bottle, but it's almost fairly like when it is on the nail. I love this one so much, BEWARE!!!!! It's extremely picture heavy!!
Happy Wednesday, everyone!! Today, I have one of two gorgeous polishes from Kunimitsu Nail Potions. I know some of you may be tired of white based polishes, but if it's done right, I'll fall head over heels for it! (ie. Smitten Polish's Glass Elevator)
Today, I have the first of five beauties from Black Cat Lacquer. I couldn't decide which to do first, so I will be showing them in alphabetical order. That was the fairest way to do it. :o) I could not get over how much fun all the glitters were when they arrived. Each one was more fun than the last. There was great variety between each bottle, yet each one had me wanting to watch 1 movie... Party Monster!
Today I have 2 lovely polishes to show you!! I'm so excited about these. I could barely contain myself when they showed up at my door! It's the wonderful Twee & Honey!!
Today I have a lovely glitter polish from Iron Clad Nails for you. This the first out of 3 glitters I will be reviewing from them.
As some of you might have noticed, there are swatches popping up of Zoya's Ornate Collection. Well, I have more for you today!! I am so excited to show you all these. These polishes are AMAZING and the absolute perfect holiday polishes! There's something for every occasion here. (Please pay no attention to my nubbins. :o( I broke one and had to even them all out.)
