Zoya Matte Velvets Swatch and Review

My nails are still a complete wreck. I really wanted to wait until they were better before I swatched these, but one can only wait so long to swatch the new collection from Zoya. I dove in, nails first, and fell in love. The Matte Velvets are perfection in every way shape and form. It was complete torture to swatch these. I put one on, fell in love, then I had to take it off and was heart broken. That is, until the next color went on. Don't believe me? Keep reading.
Dovima is described as "a smoky charcoal-black with strong silver shimmer and and a velvety MATTEVELVET finish".

Dovima is beautiful color to own if you're not a huge fan of black polishes. It's that shade right between grey and black that satisfies anyone's dark shade cravings.

Harlow is described as "a rich, saturated rose plum packed with sparkling metallic shimmer in a velvety MATTEVELVET finish".

Harlow is the perfect combination of matte, metallic, and richness. Rose plum or fuchsia or whatever you want to call it, it's lovely.

Posh is described as "a medium cool-toned red wine with metallic red shimmer and a velvety MATTE VELVET finish".

Not a fan of reds? Posh is determined to change the mind of anyone hell bent against wearing red. You can't help but love it. Once it's on, you immediately feel sexy and vampy. Like you just released some kind of hidden seductress side of you that you never knew existed. A must have!

Savita is described as "a bold, vibrant medium purple with strong red and and gold shimmer with a velvety MATTEVELVET finish".

The ultimate royal purple, Savita tries to be subtle with it's matte finish. Once it's on your nail, you know it's a stand out polish that is sure to get noticed.

Loredana is described as "a medium gunmetal grey packed with silvery shimmer and a velvety MATTEVELVET finish".

The first coat of Loredana was fairly sheer. I was sure I was going to have to use three. However, after the second coat, it was wonderfully opaque. A perfect grey, especially if Dovima is too dark for you.

Veruschka is described as "a deep evergreen garnished with strong metallic shimmer in a velvety MATTEVELVET finish".

If you know me, you know I'm a sucker for a green polish and a matte polish. When these two were combined in Veruschka, I think I might have released a squeal of delight as soon as I saw it in good light. Evergreen is the perfect description of this green. Get it, and put it aside for your holiday manis. You won't regret it!

 Zoya has definitely outdone themselves! Once again! I bought a couple of these last year when they released them, but I was so happy to be able to own them all. Now, if only they'd re-release the first three mattes I'd be over the moon! Along with the re-release of these six beauties, Zoya also released a Matte Velvet top coat ($10) and a Matte Velvet red lipstick ($12). I don't own the latter 2 (yet), but I have a feeling they are must haves as well.

 All the Matte Velvet polishes have a wonderfully smooth application and quick dry time. With the wonderful brushes Zoya has, barely any clean up is needed. Don't miss out on your chance to get these, you never know when they'll be gone for good!
