Essie-Preen-Me-2
I recently received a package from Essie and Preen.me. I admit, it's been a while since I've used an Essie polish. The ones I had previously were difficult to work with and I realized I wasn't a fan of the brushes. When this opportunity came up I knew it was the perfect chance to try again. I'm so glad I did! I received ten polishes from their core line as well as a top coat, and I was pleased as punch with each and every one! Keep reading to find out more!

Essie-Preen-Me-Blanc-1
Blanc is described as "a pure, snowy white lacquer".
Shown is three coats of Blanc with Speed Setter top coat.
Blanc is such a fantastically crisp white. The application is a bit streaky, and it took three coats to even out. Even after all that, I can't wait to wear it again!

Essie-Preen-Me-Vanity-Fairest-1
Vanity Fairest is described as "a shimmery and sheer pastel pink".
Shown is three coats of Vanity Fairest with Speed Setter top coat.
Vanity Fairest is the ultimate palate cleanser. This polish is super delicate and sheer. There is a lovely dusting of shimmer throughout. I applied three coats and it still wasn't fully opaque. I wouldn't have wanted it to be though. This is incredibly lovely! It needs some floral nail art!

Essie-Preen-Me-Peach-Side-Babe-1
Peach Side Babe is described as "a sun-ripe peach".
Shown is three coats of Peach Side Babe with Speed Setter top coat.
Peach Side Babe is a little more muted than everyone's favorite Flip Flop Fantasy, so don't think it would be a good replacement. However, you will want this one if you don't yet have it. Evens out after three coats, but a stunning color perfect for a summer pedicure.

Nail Art
Essie-Preen-Me-3
I decided to play around with a dry marble for an accent nail.
In this mani I used: Peach Side BabeChillatoPetal Pushers, and Speed Setter.
I already had my swatch of Peach Side Babe on, so I added one more coat to my ring finger. While it was still wet, I added drops of Chillato and Petal Pushers. Then, I swirled it around with a toothpick and topped it off with Speed Setter.

Essie-Preen-Me-Speed-Setter-2
Speed Setter is described as "an ultra fast dry top coat that dries in under a minute with a high shine finish".
I used Speed Setter on all of the above swatches and nail art. It dried quickly and had a fabulous brush.
$10

Each of these are available online, and you can find several of them in store at different locations. They range in price from $9 - $10. Even if some of the polishes start out with issues, they always evened out after a third coat and top coat. No problems! The brushes even seemed easier to work with. I was beyond happy with each of these and was very thankful I gave Essie the second chance. Thank you to Preen.me for the opportunity!
