Iron Clad Nails Review #1
1:07 PMToday I have a lovely glitter polish from Iron Clad Nails for you. This the first out of 3 glitters I will be reviewing from them.
Arabian Nights is described as a "midnight blue with silver bars and turquoise hexes". That's what it seems like just looking at the bottle. It looks like another blue glitter polish. But there was something special about the base of this polish. The blue tinted jelly had a wonderful formula. It was so soft and smooth. No glooping. It's filled with silver bar glitter, silver medium hex glitter, turquoise medium hex glitter and silver micro glitter. I loved how the glitter looks packed in the bottle but on the nail it disperses nicely and just gives that pop of sparkle.
Left to right: 1 coat, 2 coats, 3 coats
Left to right: Zoya - Shay, Sally Hansen - Insta-Dri - Brisk Blue, OPI - Suzi Says Feng Shui, butter LONDON - Bluey and Julep - Eloise.
As shown above from pinky to thumb.
This is 2 coats of Arabian Nights over 2 coats of Zoya - Shay. As a nude, Shay really shows off the soft tinted base of Arabian Nights without the pesky VNL. You really get to see Arabian Nights in it's true form. Soft and lovely.
This is 2 coats of Arabian Nights over 2 coats of Sally Hansen - Insta-Dri - Brisk Blue. Brisk Blue doesn't really do anything to enhance Arabian Nights, but it does show off the glitter. The lighter blue really makes the glitter pop. I thought it was a fun combination.
This is 2 coats of Arabian Nights over 2 coats of OPI - Suzi Says Feng Shui. Suzi Says Feng Shui did nothing for Arabian Nights. I didn't like this combination at all.
This is 2 coats of Arabian Nights over 2 coats of butter LONDON - Bluey. This was my favorite combination out of the 5. The shimmer in Bluey really enhanced Arabian Nights. It showed off the micro glitter and really blew me away.
This is 2 coats of Arabian Nights over 2 coats of Julep - Eloise. Eloise is a lovely polish on it's on, but Arabian Nights just kinda sinks in and doesn't stand out to me. It's definitely a better combination than Suzi Says Feng Shui, but after seeing it with Bluey it's just so dull.
Arabian Nights was so easy to work with and I think Bluey really helped it live up to it's name. You can purchase Arabian Nights or other polishes on Iron Clad Nails' ETSY page. Arabian Nights is $6 and the other polishes range from $4 - $8.50. Keep up with news on their Facebook page.
