Cameo Colours Lacquer Hallowicked Duo

Sorry for the long periods of time between posts. I'm still trying to figure out this blogging from my phone thing. It's taking some trial and error and a lot of patience. I don't know when I'm going to be able to get a new computer, but I'm hoping sometime soon. Anyway, some of the pics aren't all that great. I had to reswatch the polishes and take all the pics with my phone since my computer won't stay on long enough for me to email the pictures to myself. So bear with me until I'm able to get back to being able to use my camera and edit on my computer. Enough about that...now onto what you came here for.

Cameo Colours Lacquer and I are hosting a nail art contest on Instagram (there is a week left to get your entries in) where we are giving away two sets of her Hallowicked duo. She also sent me the duo to swatch and show you all.

Cameo Colours Lacquers - Hallowicked

Hallowicked is a clear base filled with different sizes and shapes of purple, yellow, red, orange, black and neon green glitters.

I decided to use Milani - Hi-Tech as the base for the swatches. It's a beautiful yellow-green holo that is opaque in 3 coats.

This is two coats of Hallowicked over three coats of Hi-Tech with OPI Natural Nail Base Coat and Glisten & Glow HK Girl.

Hallowicked applied well. Two coats was perfect. One coat might have been good had I been able to get more than just the small glitters on the brush. I did some fishing on the second coat to ensure the larger pieces. (It's possible that issue wouldn't be a problem in a full sized bottle.)

This pairing is absolutely beautiful! The second I unwrapped the bottle, I knew that Hi-Tech was the way to go. Glad I stuck to my gut. It allows Hallowicked to be itself but raises it to a whole other level. It doesn't overpower one bit.

Zydrate is a soft pale blue jelly filled with blue-green shifting flakes. It glows a bright blue in the dark.

Zydrate was inspired by a drug from Repo! The Genetic Opera. The bright blue color of the vile in this picture is the color you get when Zydrate glows in the dark.

This is three coats of Zydrate with OPI Natural Nail Base Coat. I didn't use a top coat because I wasn't sure exactly how it would effect the glow-in-the-dark feature.

Zydrate is more meant to be worn as a topper, but I loved the soft pale blue so I left it alone. I absolutely LOVED Zydrate! The formula was a little thick from the powder used to make it glow in the dark, but a little thinner fixes that right up. Applies easily, takes a little bit of time to dry but it cleans up easily.

Such a beautiful, soft, feminine polish by day...

...and by night it's a party on your nails.

I may have loved it during the day, but at night it comes alive. Absolutely stunning.

Cameo Colours Lacquers always makes beautiful polishes! I've loved her polishes since the first time I tried them and, still, these blew me away! I wasn't really sold on the glow-in-the-dark fad, until I tried Zydrate.

Head over to Cameo Colours Lacquer to get these beauties. The set for $15 or $8 for Hallowicked and $9 for Zydrate. OR go here to get details on the nail art contest that ends on the 15th and try to win the set!
