Bday custom from A Girl Obsessed

 The wonderful Samantha from A Girl Obsessed was kind enough to make me a beautiful custom for my birthday (December 14). I love to get creative when designing a custom polish for other people, but I was truly stumped when it came to trying to design one for myself (especially after my dream polish was created for Rescue Beauty's Fan Collection 2.0). Then it hit me! We let our 4 year old, Maggie, pick out all the ornaments and decorations for Christmas this year. She had chosen bright, vibrant ornaments in purple, blue, orange, red and green. Then when it came time to find the ribbon for the bow topper she found this beauty...

Maggie had done such a wonderful job with the decor, and it was such a beautiful ribbon, I knew that should be my inspiration. I sent a picture to Samantha and she just went with it. Unfortunately, the dots didn't like the white base so she separated it out to two different polishes (which is fine by me because I had been wanting a white iridescent crelly for sometime now). As you can see in the picture, she nailed it (pun intended)! It's beautiful and dead on (even though she added some red dots). 
And that's how A Very Maggie Christmas was born. Clear based glitter top coat, scattered with small silver flecks and multiple size dot glitter in holo blue, green, purple, hot pink and red. The dots sink, but held upside down for a couple seconds and all is well. No fishing for anything. She did a beautiful job with this! This is one coat. 

This is the unnamed prototype. A white crelly with blue and purple flashes. This is three perfect coats. It needs more flash though, so be on the look out for a newer version of this. Can't wait until we get this perfect! It's going to be stunning!

And lastly, the two paired together. I love this so much! It looks just like the ribbon Maggie picked out. Samantha perfectly brought the inspiration to my nails. I am in love with this! I topped it off with Magpie Shine top coat.
