Daily Hues Nail Lacquer Violet Swatch and Review

**Polish was gifted to me.**

Sorry I've been a little spacey this week. I had some stuff come up that I had to deal with that just wasn't fun and extremely draining. I had a couple days full of stress. I didn't even eat. So, I'm pulling from my "swatched but never shown" archive today.

Violet is described as "an opaque, satin, wisteria shimmer".
Shown is three coats of Violet.
$8

Normally, I love purples. Violet did nothing for me though. I really wanted to like it because the scatter of pink was a fun surprise. It had a great formula and there weren't any issues applying it. The finish was too frosty for my liking and the brush strokes still show. I'm kind of curious if it stamps though. If I ever get some stamping plates, this will be one I try out with that.

Back on Valentine's Day, I purchased the basics collection from Daily Hues Nail Lacquer. I received the collection, but when I was unwrapping them I felt something sharp on one of the bottles. My skin split a bit but didn't make a full cut. Nothing horrible, but my daughter handles my bottles, so I contacted her. The polish itself wasn't damaged, so I didn't want her to be out money of sending me a whole new bottle. I don't have a steady hand so there was no way I would be able to do a transfer myself. So, I sent her my bottle back thinking she would quickly transfer the polish and send it back. I got tracking so I knew when she received the polish, but time went by and I didn't see it come back so I emailed her. Her kid was sick. That's ok, I've got a kid, I know how it is. More time went by, still nothing, so I sent emails. She was too busy filling orders from a sale to take care of my one bottle. Then I started to get frustrated. Sent frustrating emails and never heard back. Yes, I see her posting in groups on Facebook often. Emails go unanswered for a week. After a month of trying to get my polish back, it finally arrives. I email her to let her know I got it, she replies practically immediately.

Well, along with my replacement bottle, she sent Violet in that package as an apology. It was a lovely gesture, but the whole customer service issue put a sour taste in my mouth. I haven't even tried the original collection I purchased from her.

I really hope this isn't a regular occurrence for Daily Hues Nail Lacquer. If you're interested in trying out her products, they range from $5 to $9.25. I really hope your experience with Daily Hues Nail Lacquer is/was better than mine.

Have you purchased from Daily Hues Nail Lacquer before? If so, how was your experience?
