I'm a Spoiled Sinful Cinderella

2:28 PM

I wish I could say "Happy Sunday, everyone!", but I can't. I woke up sick and without any energy. SOOOO very thankful, my husband is home and can help with Maggie so I can try to get better as soon and as quickly as possible. As any mom knows, trying to take care of a kid that is not sick is not at all easy when you, yourself, is sick. It's like they know you're sick and their energy triples.

Anyways, back to the post! I'm so glad I got to redo my mani last night, because I'm so happy with it now! Only problem is that I'm afraid I'm not going to want to take it off!

First of all, if you aren't a follower of Cosmetic Sanctuary on their website or on Facebook, click those links and follow ASAP! Fantastic source of all things cosmetics.

Secondly, it's very rare that I will buy nail polish online. It has to be one heck of a deal and/or have free shipping for me to even consider it.

On that note, any polish lover knows that Sinful Colors Cinderella is just BEA-U-TI-FUL! I'd find myself pulling up pictures and just admiring it's perfection (kind of what I'd do with rings before I was engaged/married). Sadly, I didn't want to buy it online AND pay for shipping on one item and, sadly, I don't have a Walgreens near me (one is being built but they seem to be taking their sweet time).

One day, not so very long ago, Cosmetic Sanctuary posted a nice haul pic where she had gotten multiples of the beautiful Sinful Cinderella. Being a polish lover I had to express my jealousy. Not envy! Two different things, mind you. I was jealous that she had multiples of the item and that she had the opportunity to, where I don't have either of those things. I was not envious that she had the item. Well, guess what was in my mailbox not long after these posts???

You guessed it! There she is... in all her splendor! I couldn't wait to try her on! But, alas, I had also just received my first Julep Maven box and my first Zoya shipment, so there was a little wait in line for little Cinderella. Once my Zoya mani turned sour, she became next in line. I felt like she needed to be paired with something, and I had just purchased Jewelry Heist by Spoiled by Wet 'n' Wild. I saw it in the store, Maggie LOVED it so it jumped in our cart (no clue how it happened). So, I decided on a Spoiled Sinful Cinderella mani.

*NOTE - THIS WAS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH BOTH SINFUL AND SPOILED

Sinful Color's Cinderella is an absolute dream! It went on PERFECTLY! I did my usual 2 coats to ensure coverage... I wouldn't recommend doing 1, but 2 is perfect! It's a shimmery light sky blue (the color of Cinderella's dress in the classic Disney cartoon) with pale pink macro holo glitter. This one is definitely moving towards the top of my favorite nail polishes list!

**After deciding I love this polish so much, I feel bad doing my mani without Maggie. I promised her we'd do our nails together while we watched the movie. I just couldn't wait. I feel bad, but I secretly don't because I can't stop admiring my nails!

Now, onto Spoiled's Jewelry Heist... ADORED this color in the bottle!! I twisted open the cap and it has the weirdest brush I've ever seen!! It's SO thick and big. It's like it was meant to be used to paint the nails of giants. Very awkward! The polish it's self is beautiful once dry, pale pink and light tan hex glitter with blue and green micro holo glitter in a clear base. However, the formula is awful! It's thick and gloppy. I used 3 coats of this. I dabbed on the first coat with the tip to try to get as much glitter as possible after only 6 pieces of glitter stuck to my nail with the first swipe. I then brushed on the next two coats only dabbing with the tip if I saw a space that didn't get filled in with glitter. This glitter makes me wish I owned some Gelous so my nail would end up nice and smooth. Right now, it feels like a cobblestone road. I only used my Seche Vite fast dry top coat. So it needs more than just that. This polish was a complete pain, but I have to admit that i'll use it again (once I get the Gelous) because it just is so pretty when all is said and done.

All in all, this is probably my favorite mani I've done in a long time! Now, this happy polisher is off to take a nap and feel better!

Happy polishing!!
