My first Zoyas!

1:27 PM

So, Zoya had a "Buy 3 Get 3 Free" sale not too long ago. I got super excited because I've never tried them before. I'm not usually one to spend over $2 on a bottle of polish. I try to use coupons as much as possible to lighten the load on my card. So when I saw this, I figured, this is a deal I can do! Of course, it took me FOR-EV-VER to really figure out what colors I wanted. (They have well over 300 colors on their site, and ALL of them are beautiful!) But these are the lovely ladies I ultimately decided on:

From left to right:

When it came time to decide which one I was going to use first, I couldn't pick just one. I decided to use two. As bright as the majority of them are, I'm extremely drawn to Shay and Gemma. They are just beautiful! So, that's what I went with. Yes, I know it's spring, but I was in the mood for some nice neutral colors. Now, I didn't start my mani until late so I was tired and kind of rushed myself so I could put up a couple posts then go to bed.

I, Becky [aka Naked Without Polish], hereby solemnly swear, to NEVER rush my mani ever again!

It's not completely ugly, but it's not great either. I'm still going to share though because the colors are just too pretty not to share. I seem to be apologizing to you guys a lot lately, but I'm sorry for the crappy paint job on my nails.

Shay is a creamy metallic. I used 2 coats. Went on nice and smooth, but it ended up more matte than I expected. I was thinking it would be a nice nude with a slight shimmer. A color I didn't yet have in my collection. Now, I wasn't upset by the matte-ness of it, just a little surprised. Definitely thought it'd have more shimmer to it. My top coat made it shinier than it actually was.

Gemma is also a creamy metallic, but dual tones. There is some blue in there with the olive tones. This kept the shimmer I was expecting from it. I put 2 coats of this on as well. Can you tell I did the tips free hand? HAHA Yeah, won't be doing that again except with glitter polishes. I will have to give in and try the tape tip mani.

On the plus side, because this one was so bad, it looks like I'll have to do another mani sometime today!

Happy Polishing!

Becky  :o)
