My First Big Win!!!

1:19 AM

I know it's late, and I'm tired, but I promised you guys 2 posts. I had to take a breather today and get caught up on my couponing. I hadn't officially gone through my paper in 2 weeks and we have a big shopping day planned for tomorrow so I had to get my binder back in order. On the plus side, I came across several polish coupons I will have to use! Anyway, here is my final post for the day... new mani for me tomorrow, I promise! Might be 2 posts again though cause I think I need to sample my April Julep Maven box. The colors are amazing! Hopefully I'll feel up to it after a long day of running around with a cranky husband and 2 year old. HAHA :o)

I came across this blog, Let Me See Ur Peacock, and to be honest I came about it by accident. She was having a 100 follower giveaway. Who doesn't love free stuff?!?! But she does have a cute blog. I've been enjoying it since I started following her. So it's all worked out. Needless to say I was SHOCKED when I received an email from her and saw that I had won! I was so excited because I didn't have neither China Glaze nor KLEANCOLOR in my collection yet. I have to admit, since she sent me the email that it was on it's way, I was practically skipping to my mailbox everyday hoping it would be there waiting for me to welcome my little ladies to their new home. That blessed day would have to be yesterday!! This little bundle of joy is now all mine!

KLEANCOLOR in Sparkle Emerald and Peaceful Heart, elf Studio 2 in 1 Conditioning Gloss in Clear Bedazzled and China Glaze in Blonde Bombshell

I put the polishes on shortly after receiving it, but I took the pictures this morning when the natural light was better. So, here they are a little closer.

KLEANCOLOR Peaceful Heart

I was so excited about Peaceful Heart. I honestly don't have any glitter polishes with shapes in them. I thought the hearts were a lot of fun! It was SOOOOOO much work to get them out though and this goes on VERY thick with not much to show for it. This is 3 coats pictured. 1 with be blotting with the tip trying to get as much glitter as possible and 2 brushed on trying to get the ridges of the hearts to be smoother. No top coat. Took FOR-EV-VER to try too. Formula was a little thick, but this is definitely a good top coater or accent finger polish. It's slightly tinted gren with holo micro glitter and hearts that change from green to blue. Not IN love with this polish, but it's not one I'll put aside and never use again. I'm already thinking of other polishes to pair it with. So, be prepared to see her again!

KLEANCOLOR Sparkle Emerald

I love this! It's blue. You put blue or purple polishes in front of me, especially ones with glitter, and I'm a happy woman! I got OPI's Last Friday Night not all that long ago and I have a feeling this one is similar, so I have a feeling I'll be comparing the two polishes later on down the road. This one is definitely a clear blue base, definitely not clear, with multi colored holo glitter. This one went on nice and thin. This is 2 coats and my nail still looks normal. It's not thick like Peaceful Heart. (BTW - Pardon my clean up job, cause I didn't do one. I was so tired, but I had to test them.) This is probably going to be a go to polish for me. Very happy with it!

China Glaze Blonde Bombshell

I can't even begin to tell you how happy I was to finally have a China Glaze in my stash, let alone how blessed I was that this color was my first impression of their polishes. I am in love!! I will shout it from the rooftops if I have to! I AM IN LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Before I even put it on my nails, I was video chatting with my mom. I showed her the bottle and told her how absolutely mesmerized I was with it. I had just been sitting there for like 5 minutes just twisting the bottle watching the flakes roll around in the slow liquid. I was happy and content. This is now my forever happy place! This is so full of glitter I can't even tell if the base is tinted or not. It's got macro and micro flakes of the most perfectly gold color you've ever encountered. This is going up on the pedestal with SinfulColors Cinderella. This belongs in everyone's home. This is 2 coats and isn't thick. It dried quick and smooth. For the last time... I swear... I love this polish!

e.l.f. Studio 2 in 1 Conditioning Gloss in Clear Bedazzled

I was excited about this gloss. I've honestly never heard of the e.l.f. brand, but I love a good clear gloss. I opened it tonight and put it on and I love the way it feels on my lips. It's not doing anything weird at all, which I have a problem with often. It's not thick, my lips are soft. It looks great on and doesn't actually show the flecks of glitter, which is good. The downside is that when I went to the website so I could post the link to the item and see other colors that it might come in, NOTHING. It is no where to be found. So, I don't know if this is an older item that just holds up over time or if it's a specialty item from a specific store. I do love it, but it's a bummer that I don't know these things. If you have more info on it and want to share, please do!

So, that was my first review from my winnings. Overall pretty good! Just a couple disappointments, but nothing I can't get over. Very excited to see all that I can do with all these lovely ladies! In the mean time, I'm off to bed! My 2 year old will be getting up before I know it!

Happy Polishing!!
