**The products in this post was purchased by myself for review. All opinions are my own.**

I've been eyeing beauties from OtakuPolish pretty much since they opened shop. They are a 3 free, cruelty free, handmade polish company that not only takes pride in those three things, but also the fact that it is a polish for anime lovers. I'm not the worlds biggest anime fan, but some of my favorite anime movies are now inspiring polish. So, of course I had to jump on it!! I grabbed the two collections from her Studio Ghibli line. I have one to show you today! I love the way she talks about her polishes, describing their inspiration and colors so I'm going to post exactly what she writes.

**WARNING PICTURE HEAVY**

OtakuPolish My Neighbor Totoro Collection

OtakuPolish - Mei

"The fourth in the line from the My Neighbor Totoro collection, this polish is inspired by the sweet little sister of the main characterSatsuki, Mei. Still innocent to the ways of the world, it is Mei who first meets Totoro in the forest. Having become iconic since the film's release and subsequent world-wide popularity, Mei is the ability of childlike wonder and discovery we all lose later in life. Her adorable, salmon-pink sundress and little straw hat are represented in this polish, which is a gorgeous coral/salmon pink shimmer jelly base accented with silver microglitter, and medium and large-sized holo gold hex glitters. This polish is absolutely perfect for spring and summer, but layering it over darker shades of copper, red, or even black makes it striking and gorgeous for fall and winter, too!"

This is two coats of Mei with Cult Nails Get It On and Wicked Fast base and top coats.

It's a beautiful salmon/coral color and the touches of gold are stunning with it, but unfortunately all the hexes sunk to the bottom and I couldn't get them out. That was the only downside to this polish. Wonderful application, easy clean up, beautiful formula and no staining or pulling. Nothing more I could ask for...except to be able to get those hexes out.

Stunning!

OtakuPolish - Tsukamori

"The third in the line from the My Neighbor Totoro collection  this polish is inspired by the deep green, rich jungle-like forest in which Totoro and his mini-chibi-selves reside. "Mori" means forest, and "Tsukamori" is the name of the forest that is generally agreed upon to be the inspiration for the woods in the Studio Ghibli film.
Tsukamori is a translucent kelly-green jelly polish absolutely packed with kelly and emerald green microglitter, and accented with medium sized spring green holo hexes. Finishing off the polish are big jumbo hex glitters in the same lovely holo spring green, shining like leaves in the forest after the rain. This polish is perfect for the tree hugger in your life, calling to mind lush, living woods where you would be certain to find a Totoro."

As you can see one and two coats are perfect for layering over undies and three coats is so much fun on it's own.

This is three coats of Tsukamori with Cult Nails Get It On and Wicked Fast base and top coats.

Not a bad thing about this polish! It's green and it's sparkly! No sinking glitter with this one. Clean up was slightly difficult, but that's normal when there are tiny glitters. They seem to be found everywhere, even if you only put it on your nails.

Now to layer it over some undies...

Left to right: Zoya - Lara, Barielle - Mint Ice Cream Cone , Zoya - Coraline, Spoiled - Mind Your Own Beeswax and OPI - Suzi Says Feng Shui.

As seen above from pinky to thumb.

This is one coat of Tsukamori over two coats of Zoya - LaraLara is a medium rose pink creme with yellow undertones. I love a good pink and green combo. I thought this was a lot of fun!

This is one coat of Tsukamori over two coats of Barielle - Mint Ice Cream Cone. Mint Ice Cream Cone is a pastel mint creme. Green on green... so lovely! Couldn't go wrong!

This is one coat of Tsukamori over two coats of Zoya - Coraline. Coraline is lovely tangerine orange jelly. Orange and green... makes me think of Halloween! Love it, and definitely puts me in in the pumpkin mood!!

This is one coat of Tsukamori over two coats of Spoiled - Mind Your Own Beeswax. Mind Your Own Beeswax is a marigold yellow jelly with a touch of sparkle. Just fell flat. I thought yellow and green would work, especially with the added sparkle, but there was nothing special or fun about it.

This is one coat of Tsukamori over two coats of OPI - Suzi Says Feng Shui. Suzy Says Feng Shui is a gorgeous bright blue creme. Blue and green excites me! I love this combination and think it would be fantastic for an accent nail or two in a mani.

OtakuPolish - Keeper of the Forest

"The first in the line from the My Neighbor Totoro collection, embodying the eponymous Totoro himself. Big, cuddly, and fantastical, Totoro the forest spirit captures the imaginations and the love of the two sisters Satsuki and Mei, kindly watching over them as they explore his forest home.
Totoro is one of my favorite characters in all of anime, and I wanted to do him justice, so I created an explosion of glitter and holographic shinyness for his polish. Keeper of the Forest is a slightly holo grey/silver jelly base with tons and tons and tons (and I do mean tons) of holographic silver glitter - microglitter and big hex glitters swim together in the grey base for a literal explosion of sparkle. Also included are darker grey hex glitter accents, just like the little marks on his belly they are small accents but immediately noticeable. This polish has an incredble holo flash and each of the glitters can shine any of the colors of the rainbow, depending on which angle the light hits them. See the blurry shots for an example of what I mean!"

Once again one and two coats is great for layering and three to four would be perfect all alone.

This is three coats of Keeper of the Forest with Cult Nails Get It On and Wicked Fast base and top coats.

Look at that sparkle!

I adore the tinted grey base. Polishes like this usually come in a clear base, but I think that added little bit really makes Keeper of the Forest special.

Keeper of the Forest sparkles in any light.

Let's toss this sparkly beauty over some undies...

Left to right: Cult Nails - Blackout, SinfulColors - Pink Forever, Zoya - Piaf, OPI - My Auntie Drinks Chianti and Zoya - Blu.

As seen above from pinky to thumb.

This is one coat of Keeper of the Forest over two coats of Cult Nails - Blackout. Blackout is a deep slate grey creme. These two are meant to be together. Together, they almost look like the night sky.

This is one coat of Keeper of the Forest over two coats of SinfulColors - Pink Forever. Pink Forever is a carnation pink creme. Every girly-girl's dream! Pink and glitter can do no wrong!!

This is one coat of Keeper of the Forest over two coats of Zoya - PiafPiaf is a bright yellow metallic shimmer. I was skeptical about this pairing even when picking it out, but, in the end, I'm so glad I picked it out. They ended up being beautiful together. Subtle in a not so subtle way. I would definitely do a full mani with this.

This is one coat of Keeper of the Forest over two coats of OPI - My Auntie Drinks Chianti (black label). My Aunti Drinks Chianti is a dusty raspberry creme. I thought this pairing would be beautiful, but in the end it fell apart. Didn't think that was possible with this sparkly beauty, but it is. I think it'd be better with a more royal purple.

This is one coat of keeper of the Forest over two coats of Zoya - BluBlu is a soft pastel blue creme. Surprisingly, this ended up being my favorite pairing of the five. It's so soft and flirty. Would make a wonderful spring manicure.

OtakuPolish - Catbus

"The second in the line from the My Neighbor Totoro collection, everyone's favorite mode of transportation, the Catbus! If Keeper of the Forest is the (sparkly as hell) moon, then Catbus is the (sparkly as hell) sun. I love these two together in a lunar/solar duo, they are such a perfect complement to one another.
Catbus is a golden yellow jelly base with yellow and burnished gold microglitters giving a gorgeous multichromatic gold base. This duotoned base sets the perfect background for the big holographic gold and copper hex glitters that swim through as an accent, just like Catbus' stripes. This polish is packed with glitter and when the light hits them - WOW. The two shades of gold I used give an incredible 3D effect and just add so much depth, I absolutely love this polish and I'm sure you will too!"

This is three coats of Catbus with Cult Nails Get It On and Wicked Fast base and top coats.

I love seeing the pops of the orange/gold hexes hiding amongst the smaller gold specks.

Not usually a fan of gold, but this one makes me smile.

STOP! Layer time! (Cheesy I know, but I had some MC Hammer on the brain...)

Left to right: Sonja Kashuk - Fatigued, Cult Nails - Awakening, Cult Nails - My Kind of Cool Aid, Spoiled - Lox-y Lady and Cult Nails - Tulum.

As seen above from pinky to thumb.

This is one coat of Catbus over two coats of Sonja Kashuk - Fatigued. Fatigued is an olive khaki creme. Khaki green and gold seem to go hand in hand for me. I had to pair them together and I'm so happy I did. This was beautiful!

This is one coat of Catbus over two coats of Cult Nails - Awakening. Awakening is a dusty teal creme. My favorite pairing out of the five. Gold and a dark teal seems like a "DUH" pairing, but I wasn't even thinking and I'm in love!

This is one coat of Catbus over two coats of Cult Nails - My Kind of Cool Aid. My Kind of Cool Aid is a grape creme with a beautiful shimmer. I couldn't get a good picture of this pairing. It looks so dull here, but it was so much fun! A soft grap creme with a silver sparkle and a gold glitter overlay. It was very surprising!

This is one coat of Catbus over two coats of Spoiled - Lox-y Lady. Lox-y Lady is a simple salmon/coral creme. Since I didn't get any hexes in this pairing it ended up looking just like Mei. So, I'd rather use Mei than pair these two together.

This is one coat of Catbus over two coats of Cult Nails - Tulum. Tulum is a milk chocolate creme with gold shimmer. The gold shimmer in Tulum really added depth to Catbus. It seems that Cult Nails was in love with Catbus. Every polish of theirs I paired it with just seemed even more lovely than before.

With the exception of the small mishap with Mei, OtakuPolish knocked it out of the park with these 4 beauties inspired by the wonderful My Neighbor Totoro. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly suggest you do! In fact, buy these beauties and watch it as you're painting your nails! You can browse the shop, but when you're ready to order shoot Ilze an email with the collections you want and she'll invoice you. For the set of 4 minis it's $18. Well worth it too! OtakuPolish is fantastic and really deserves to be more well known than she is! Show her some love, you won't be sorry!! I've got 2 out of the 4 collections she's got and I can't stop thinking about the other 2!
