JulieG Spring 2017 Swatch and Review

**Press Samples**

I know this isn't a post about indies, but yes, JulieG will be at PolishCon NYC! Not sure exactly what they will have at their booth, but they sent me three of their special 3 packs to swatch and review. I tried JulieG back in 2013 when the Rock Candy line first released. I don't know why I haven't tried them more. I think I just got so indie focused. After working with these, I can tell you I will be working with them a lot more. For those of you attending PolishCon in NYC on April 29th, I really hope these will be available to purchase! Keep reading to find out more!
**WARNING PICTURE HEAVY**
Bikini is described as "a light salmon pink neon".
Shown is three coats of Bikini with top coat.
Bikini is a beautiful shade of coral. This one played with my camera a bit and photographed brighter than it was. It required three coats to reach full opacity and an even finish. It does dry matte.
$3.99

Tropical is described as "a neon turquoise mint".
Shown is three coats of Tropical with top coat.
Tropical is the perfect spring/summer shade for me. I adore colors like this. It applied a little patchy, so it required three coats for full opacity. Once done, you won't want to take this one off!
$3.99

Dream in Pretty is described as "a pretty pinky-purple".
Shown is three coats of Dream in Pretty with top coat.
Dream in Pretty is a bright shade of lavender that will put a smile on your face! Beautiful formula, applies a little streaky so expect to need three coats.
$3.99

Julie's Fave is described as "a lovely coral creme".
Shown is three coats of Julie's Fave with top coat.
Julie's Fave had a perfect application. A little patchy so three coats was needed to even things out. The color isn't a vibrant as the others, even though it photographs well, but had a slightly dull/dusty look.
$3.99

Santorini is a blue leaning periwinkle creme with a hint of silver shimmer.
Shown is two coats of Santorini with top coat.
Santorini surprised me with its opacity. Only two coats to reach full opacity. Flawless formula and perfect application.
$3.99

Rio de Janeiro is a muted medium purple that leans slightly towards magenta.
Shown is three coats of Rio de Janeiro with top coat.
Rio de Janeiro surprised me in that it was another that needed three coats. I thought this one would be a little more opaque. Not a disappointment, just a little surprise. Beautiful color!
$3.99

Oh Em Gee is described as "a hot pink neon".
Shown is three coats of Oh Em Gee with top coat.
Oh Em Gee was only slightly patchy in application. It took three coats to reach full opacity. It dries matte, but it wasn't fully even. Once I added the top coat it was even and perfect.
$3.99

Cabana Boy is described as "an attention-grabbing cobalt creme".
Shown is two coats of Cabana Boy with top coat.
Cabana Boy was my favorite in the bottle and was even more stunning on the nail. Bright and vibrant! Perfect application and only two coats are needed for full opacity.
$3.99

Fierce & Fab is described as "a sassy and amazing purple neon".
Shown is two coats of Fierce & Fab with top coat.
Fierce & Fab is another one that dries matte. It applied beautifully, and only took two coats to reach full opacity. It did need a top coat to even out.
$3.99

All-in-all, I really loved all of these polishes! Yes, some of them required three coats, but it didn't bother me. The colors are great, my nails didn't end up being crazy thick. What's one extra coat? Each of these can be found on their website for $3.99 individually. Most of the formulas were a little thin. I think that is why they applied on the patchy side. So, while each of these are available individually, I split them into sections of three: Spring 1, Spring 2, and Spring 3. Those are the bundles they are available in in the 3 packs they are offering online for $10 each. Like I said before, I'm not 100% on what they will be offering at their table at PolishCon, but if these are a little peek into what will be offered...you won't be disappointed. Also, you'll get the chance to meet Jess of Love for Lacquer! Make sure you are following JulieG on all of their social media platforms (links below) to stay updated on news, releases, and sales.

Is JulieG a drugstore brand you keep track of? They are on my radar now for sure! What did you think of these, and what are you hoping to see at their table?
