Literary Lacquer June 2017 Releases Swatch and Review

**Press Samples**

Hi all! I'm sorry about my random absence last week. Shortly after publishing my post last Monday, I got the call that my grandfather had died. I immediately went into self preservation mode and did everything I could to keep busy and not lose it in front of my daughter. I didn't want to worry her until my husband and I could talk to her together. It's never easy. This wasn't the first loss in our family, but it hit us all pretty hard. He had been in pain for a long time, so I'm glad he is not in pain any longer. At the same time, I'm just so sad I didn't get to see him one last time. It was nice to see family and be able to introduce my husband and daughter to so many family members that they hadn't met before. I guess it was bittersweet. I was going to try to continue to post last week, but laundry and cleaning took over and prepping for the trip took my mind off things. I missed you all, and I got a little behind, but it was what needed to be done.

Now, that I'm back, we are going to dive right in. Literary Lacquers released many beautiful polishes on Friday, and I have a few of them to show you all today. Well, six to be exact, but no where near all the polishes that were released. Be glad I don't have them all to show you though because it would be so hard to choose! Trust me! Go check out the ones I have for you though. Not a bad one in the bunch!
**WARNING PICTURE HEAVY**

First up are the new additions to the core collection that were inspired by the Neil Gaiman book Ocean at the End of the Lane.

Ocean at the End of the Lane Trio
Swaying Grayly is described as "a matte light grey polish packed with silver flakes and glass fleck".
Shown is three coats of Swaying Grayly without top coat.
Swaying Grayly just might be the most perfect matte grey! The flakies add the perfect something extra in there. You can't take your eyes off it. I did three coats, but you could probably get away with two. No issues whatsoever. Have some fun with this one for sure! Great on its own, but it is begging for some nail art to be done on it.

Lettie's Ocean is described as "a soft turquoise holo with holo sparkle".
Shown is three coats of Lettie's Ocean with top coat.
Lettie's Ocean is a happy shade of blue. Even if it didn't have all the holo and sparkly, you would still have a big ol' grin on your face when seeing this. It was a little more sheer than I was expecting so I slapped on a third coat and was perfectly happy!

Miner's Gift is described as "a blue/purple multichrome with holo microflakes".
Shown is two coats of Miner's Gift with top coat.
Miner's Gift is the beauty that is so much more gorgeous in person than photos show. It's rich and regal. I thought it might be a one coater, but go ahead and do that second coat. The name is so perfect for this polish. There is something incredibly special about it.

Miscellaneous Swatches
In addition to the trio, she also re-released several miscellaneous polishes. I have two of the many to show you all!

Grasshopper with Cotton Candy Hair is described as "a bright grasshopper green linear holo with pink and blue flecks".
Shown is two coats of Grasshopper with Cotton Candy Hair with top coat.
Grasshopper with Cotton Candy Hair is inspired by The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. This polish won me over the instant I saw a hint of green under the bubble wrap. Then there is that name...so much fun! Then I started swatching and photographing and the hints of blue came out to play and it is just so perfect! Great formula and application, and opaque after only 2 coats.

Bluestocking Romance is described as "a dreamy navy blue creme".
Shown is one coat of Bluestocking Romance with top coat.
Bluestocking Romance is the perfect navy blue creme. One coat you guys! This is one you all need. I guarantee it will stamp too! This was originally made for a September 2015 Creme a la Mode Box. I'm glad it has returned!
$10

Gift with purchase
In addition to all the releases, she is offering a free gift with purchase. If you purchase $20 worth of product you will get a free mini bottle, and if you purchase $50 or more you will get a full size bottle. After you see this, you'll see why you want to spend enough for a full size bottle!

Feather Family
Feather Family is described as "a sparkling soft pink holo".
Shown is two coats of Feather Family with top coat.
Feather Family is inspired by The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers. It had a wonderful application and was perfectly opaque after two coats. This one is worth making sure you buy enough to get the full size. Wonderful on its own, but would be a beautiful base for some nail art!
