After a month's hiatus, due to the main maker involved moving to a new state, the Nouveau Geek Box is back! This month's theme is Harry Potter! Much excite!! For those of you who don't know what the Nouveau Geek Box is...it is a box that has a different fandom theme each month, each with five indie brands. The brands vary each month, you'll see some repeats, but the brands aren't all the same every month. This month, the brands involved are Bohemian Polish, Ellison's Organics, Black Lace Cosmetics, Sassy Pants Polish, and Firecracker Lacquer. These ladies did a lovely job with this month's theme, and I can't wait to show them off...let's get to it!

I've got the upcoming Fall 2016 Collection from My Indie Polish to show you all today. The Fall 2016 Collection is a set of 6 polishes perfect for the upcoming season. If you're anything like me, you are beyond ready for fall and winter! These colors made me super happy! You may notice that one of my bottles is a mini. She was running low on product, so she sent a mini to get it swatched. It isn't a special polish, or a gift with purchase or anything. Just imagine that it is a full sized bottle. In addition to the Fall 2016 Collection, she sent a couple other products for me to test out. I can't wait to tell you about those as well! Let's just jump into it!

My little girl started the 2nd grade yesterday. Why in the world do kids grow so fast? I refuse to accept that fact that she will be 7 in just 3 weeks. 7 years goes by way too quickly. Well, to ease my pain, I've got an adorable trio from le Polish to show you all today. She took inspiration from the movie Billy Madison to give us the Back to School Trio. It's been far too long since I've watched this movie, but I think it's about time I popped it in the DVD player again. As much as I giggled at the names of these, I just about peed my pants laughing trying to find the right gifs to add to each one. This movie will never get old. Ready to see these?!

I have been waiting almost 2 years to show you all this post!! I went to Jennalyn from LynBDesigns and said we need to do a musicals collection. She agreed and we set to work. I came up with a list of stuff and some ideas and sent it off to her. She took my list and had her way with it. Tweeking and vetoing and changing and swapping. After issues hunting down specific glitters, and issues with glitters bleeding and curling, and extensive testing to make sure those issues didn't happen again, the Big Number Collection is finally complete. Come Friday, it could be yours! She worked her magic, and I'm in love! You ready to see all of these?!

Today's post is full of love and frustration. Pretty & Polished has created a collection inspired by a movie I absolutely adore...Connie and Carla. If you've never seen it, find it and watch it. Two theater-loving ladies are on the run from the mob and end up hiding out undercover as drag queens. Yes, there is a lot of singing, but there is a lot of laughs! It's great! How can you pass up Toni Collette and Nia Vardalos?! Yeah, you can't! As you can tell, I love this movie. She told me what she was doing and I literally squealed with delight. Typing this post was the frustrating part. If you are a regular reader, you know I love adding pics and gifs when there is inspiration. There was only one gif I could find, and forget about finding pics of exact inspirations. It was near impossible. So please, watch the movie. You won't regret it, and you'll get a kick out of the names so much more. You'll find yourself giggling as you're applying the polishes. Ready to see?! Keep reading!

It's already time for the next G.N.O.M.E. Box!! My, oh my, how time flies!! For those of you who don't know G.N.O.M.E. stands for Glitter Nerds Of Magical Existence. Yup, that pretty much sums up anyone who is obsessed with nail polish. Such a fitting name for this box. The G.N.O.M.E. Box is a monthly box where you get three full sized polishes. The two brands that you get in every box are Rica and Stardust Beauty. There is a guest brand every month, and this month's guest is Dreamland Lacquer! Ready to see what these beauties look like?

Every May, several indie brands get together somewhere in California for the Indie Shop. Several indies, in one place, where you can shop your favorite polish brands as easily as going to the mall. Sounds exciting right?! Well, on top of that, each brand creates a super duper limited edition polish that you can only get if you attend...or if you have a polish mule that is prepared to snag polish for you. I saw swatches of a lot of the LE polishes from this event (and was even lucky enough to swatch a couple for some of the makers), but knew I'd really only be able to get one polish. When I saw this beauty from Polish 'M I knew I needed it. This year, all the LE polishes were named after California cities. Luckily, a friend, who is a maker, was attending and this wasn't on the list of polishes she wanted to get for herself. I sent her money and she snagged it for me. Keep reading to see the swatches!

Today I have several polishes from NailNation3000 to show you all. SO.MANY.POLISHES. Maria sent me a mixture of twelve polishes from a few of her collections. My love for NailNation3000 started off rocky. I gave them a second chance though, and I just keep falling in love with her formulas. If you haven't given them a chance yet, I am hoping your mind is changed after taking a peek at a few of the polishes she has to offer. Let's jump right in...there's a lot for you to see.

I've got a post today that you're probably going to be mad at me for, but I don't care. When you're not in these fan groups you miss out on a lot of special pretties! Like this one from Ever After Polish. She created this one after several people voiced that they wanted a dupe for YSL's Peace Green. I missed out on it, but it turned out that a friend got it and it didn't look right on her. She let me buy it from her...THEN...I got a surprise package from someone. It was a second bottle of it. Beyond excited!! The moral of this post is to show you what you're missing out on when you aren't a member of brands' FB fan groups. Let's get to it!

I figured we would finish this week with a bang! Did you realize it is already time for the next Magic 8 Box?! Yeah, neither did I. But here we are...in August...getting ready to take a peek at September's Magic 8 Box. UGH! I need Hermione's time turner necklace. If only to try to make time stand still for a moment or two. Anyway...the Magic 8 Box...this month's theme was Hello from Around the World. When I found out what the theme was I was really excited to see what they would do to bring these countries alive. Knowing that they could take inspiration from practically anything...or nothing...kinda made me giddy with excitement. Each maker chose a country. From there, they chose a greeting native to that country and named their polish accordingly. I've even included pronunciations and translations. Maybe you will learn a little something new in addition to enjoying the beautiful polishes!

As usual, the four permanent makers in the Magic 8 Box are: Philly Loves Lacquer, Smokey Mountain Lacquer, Rica, and My Indie Polish. The four makers they invited to go on this month's journey with them are: Doctor Lacquer, Scofflaw, Lollipop Posse Lacquer, and Drip Drop Nail Paint. I was happy that I had three new (to me) brands to try this time around. Such a fun way to get to try new brands!
