NOTD - May 2nd

Yes, the tile of this is a date... I have NO idea what to call this mani! Basically, I got so many new polishes this weekend, I wanted to use as many as possible. The main theme is pink though. Feeling springy!

Carrie's - Kinky Boots, Zoya - Renee, Milani - Fresh Teal and essie - as gold as it gets

The first pink I knew I wanted was the franken that Carrie at ink&polish made and sent to me. She has had me drooling over pictures for weeks. I needed that on my nails ASAP! Kinky Boots is just a gorgeous glittery franken that I seriously could probably wear everyday and never get tired of it. Keep it comin', Carrie!! ;o)

The next one I grabbed was the Zoya I got on clearance, Renee. A pretty tulip pink creme. It is a little on the sheer side. Definitely wasn't opaque after 1 coat and there was still a little VNL (visible nail line) after 2 coats, but I decided against a 3rd.

I wanted to add a little something to my nails with Renee on them so I went for Milani - Fresh Teal. It's been one I have been looking for. The stores always seem to be out of it or I seem to find broken bottles of it. Not good, such a waste of a pretty polish. :o(  As you can see, the bottle seems to be extremely bland, but the color isn't. It's such a pretty teal that is more on the blue side. I just did a single stripe down the center of the nail. I didn't use an art brush or anything special, which is why the lines are all sorts of different sizes.

Kinky Boots was so sparkly that I had to put a little something on top of the other nails. I see the pink, and even though there are silver glitter pieces in it, I see gold! So it was a no brainer to grab essie - as gold as it gets. A little gold fleck never hurt anyone so I did a simple single light coat of it on top. Then I topped Kinky Boots with a generous coat of Gelous and topped all my nails with Seche Vite

 See the sparklies?

My clean up job wasn't all that bad!

Ending it with my right hand as always!

Yes, it's not perfect, but it's fun and playful and I love it!

Happy Polishing!!
