Review - Two Birds One Store - Luck Be A Lady(bug)

I have the amazing pleasure of doing a review for you all!! The ladies over at Two Birds One Store sent me a bottle of their lovely polish. I'm so giddy over this!! It's a combination of 2 of my faves, jelly and matte glitter. And boy, oh boy, is it FULL of glitter.

Two Birds One Store - Luck Be A Lady(bug) is a deep red (almost black) jelly in the bottle, but is perfectly red on the nails. The glitter doesn't sink, it floats effortlessly in the bottle. When putting it on the nail, I didn't have to fish around for extra glitter to put on. It covered just as I wanted it to.

Colors I used as base coats:
Zoya - Shay (my favorite nude), Wet n Wild - Wild Shine - Red Red, OPI - Wocka Wocka!, Max Makeup Cherimoya - Matte.n.a - Rated R, Revlon - Top Speed - Cherry and Rimmel London - Lasting Finish PRO - Stiletto Red

I first did a full mani with 1 coat of Zoya - Shay as a base coat to make sure I didn't have any VNL. I did 2 thin coats of Luck Be A Lady(bug) once that dried. I love the soft red color when putting a nude underneath. I couldn't believe how smooth Luck Be A Lady(bug) went on when it has so much glitter in it. I'm completely in love with this polish! I topped it off with 1 coat of Seche Vite. This glitter didn't need Gelous.

As soon as Maggie saw it, her exact words were, "Look, mommy, you have lady bugs on your nails!" She wants me to put this on her so badly. We'll see if I can keep her fingers out of her mouth long enough this weekend for me to try it.

So pretty! And 3 coats of polish (2 of jelly) weren't thick at all. It really is an amazing formula.

Then I decided to test it over different shades of red to see what the difference woud be. I still had 1 coat of Zoya - Shay under the reds to make sure there wasn't staining. I did 1 coat of each red then only 1 coat of Luck Be A Lady(bug). I didn't use a top coat here because it had a beautiful sheen to it and it wasn't going to stay on my nails long.

Thumb to pinky: Rimmel London - Lasting Finish PRO - Stiletto Red, Revlon - Top Speed - Cherry, Max Makeup Cherimoya Matte.n.a - Rated R, OPI - Wocka Wocka! and Wet n Wild - Wild Shine - Red Red

I personally liked it the best over Zoya - Shay and Max Makeup Cherimoya - Matte.n.a - Rated R, it really didn't look bad over any of them. I guess it just depends on  what shade of red you'd like your ladybug to be. :o)

All in all, not a bad thing to say about this beauty except, I wish there was a way to capture it's yumminess in the bottle in a picture. It's so dark. We'll just say this is dark and mysterious until you pop the top and get to know it a little better. ;o) haha

I absolutely recommend Two Birds One Store. As of this post their store is currently closed for restocking purposes, but PLEASE make sure you put in your email to be notified when they open. I promise you won't be disappointed!

Happy Polishing!!

Becky :o)

Thank you, Carrie. I'm seriously digging this polish. When they reopen you at least need a mini. Us being the jelly freaks we are it's a must have. lol

Thank you! I'm super excited about it. It's a great polish! Just a shame they are closed until mid August. Hopefully this will be restocked so people that fall in love with it here can go get it.

It really is. Pictures don't do it justice.

I love the comparison of reds here; and I agree, I think it looks best over Max Makeup Cherimoya - Matte.n.a - Rated R; the black dots pop the most over it!
This is one of my favorite nail arts; I love ladybugs!
