NOTD - My First Magnetic

11:45 AM

Happy Monday ladies!!! Today, I have a magnetic polish for you. I have 3 right now, but I haven't tried them yet. A neighbor friend picked up a Sally Hansen magnetic polish. She tried it and then expressed her concerns about it. She asked if I would try hers out to see if the polish was bad or if she just did it wrong. I gladly accepted and it turns out... I love it and I should have used the magnetics long ago!!

Sally Hansen - Magnetic - Golden Conduct

So pretty! Look at that shimmer! Well, on all but my pinky and ring fingers.

I was going to try to accent with matte nails, but it failed and messed it up.

I used Hard Candy - Matte-ly in Love top coat on my ring finger and Seche Vite on my pinky. No top coat on any others once I saw that they messed up everything the magnet worked so hard to do.

LOVE!!

The issues she had when she did her mani were that the polish got goopy when trying to do the 2nd coat and when she used the magnent it didn't make noticeable changes.

What I did:
1) my normal preps with my Nail Tek ridge filler and foundation and my OPI base coat
2) I did 1 coat of the Golden Conduct and let it dry for about 15 minutes
3) I went nail by nail, one at a time, I did a 2nd coat of Golden Conduct then immediately held the magnet over. It says 10 seconds, but I saw changes immediately. I still held the magnet over for 20 seconds each nail just to be safe.

All in all, this was a success and now I think I need this color for my own! What are your thoughts?!

Happy Polishing!!
