I received a request to do a comparison between Cult Nails Wax That wax effect top coat and a regular matte top coat. People are wondering if there really is a difference. 

My current go to matte top coat is NYC Matte Me Crazy. So, I grabbed that and my Wax That bottle and got to work. I decided to test them over Cult Nails - Nevermore and SinfulColors - SinfulShine - Picante. I did two coats of each color on two nails. Then tossed each top coat over one nail of each color.

Here are the results...

You can definitely see the difference over Nevermore. Matte and Wax are VERY different top coats. However, over on Picante, the matte top coat didn't really change it. It's still quite glossy. Wax That definitely worked though. 
I am a lover of all things matte, but I'm REALLY loving Wax That top coat! So in my opinion, YOU DEFINITELY NEED BOTH!! I'll be keeping you all updated on when Wax That is available!
