I had never purchased any of the Xtreme Wear line from Sally Hansen before. Then all this hubbub about the changing of formulas and colors had me intrigued. So, I went out and snagged a bottle of Coral Reef and Pacific Blue old formulas. Now, I had to go to several different stores to find them, no one here seemed to carry either of these colors. I finally came across Coral Reef at Target and the 3rd CVS I went to had a couple original formula Pacific Blues hidden behind the new formulas. I have to say, I do no like the new formula Pacific Blue after seeing it. I have a theory though, but it can't be confirmed until I actually try the new formulas. 

Coral Reef is was a bright coral creme. Shown below is two coats for full opacity. My set up usually captures colors spot on, but Coral Reef comes across darker than it is in person. It's a beautiful coral and I'm really kinda sorry I never discovered this color sooner even though I have several that are really close to it.

I don't have the new formulas of these, but my theory is that they revamped the formulas to make them darker so they look the same in person and in pictures. It might sound kind of silly, but that's my theory. 

So, yes, you need to get out and try to find the original formulas of these polishes. I haven't seen the new formula of Coral Reef, but I'm not liking the new formula for Pacific Blue. Not happy, but not upset, because these weren't staples for me. I just wanted to see what the hype was about.
