Valentino is described as "a black and white glitter topper".
Valentino was easy to use and there was no fishing to get glitter out of the bottle. All black and white polishes in a clear base. You can put it over absolutely anything! This is a classic topper, and I dare you not to start talking in an Italian accent when applying it. I caught myself doing it. It's all sorts of wrong, but you won't be able to help yourself.

Mannequin Hands is described as "a very light, pale, pink/peach base with very pale peach and pink glitters".
Shown is two coats of Mannequin Hands with top coat.
Mannequin Hands is clean, crisp, and refreshing. The perfect pale nude with a little something extra with the added glitter. First coat is a tad bit streaky, but after the second coat and a top coat it's evened out and ready to go! I love nudes, I knew I was going to enjoy this one. But the amount that I ended up loving it is more than I was expecting. It's like watching Mannequin for the umpteenth time. It's cheesy, and you know you're going to like it, but then it's over and you're almost tempted to start it over again because it's just that good and it made you so happy. Mannequin Hands is the Mannequin of polishes.

Tart is described as "a light purple crelly with purple/blue shimmer and hex glitter in multiple colors and sizes".
Shown is two coats of Tart with top coat.
Tart is so much fun! The base color is dainty and will be a good one to break up winter darks. No issues getting glitter out of the bottle, and the way it layers is incredibly playful. First coat is a little streaky, but after the second coat and a top coat it is evened out.

Day Trippin' is described as "a purple to pink thermal color changing nail polish with bright pink flakes".
Shown is three coats of Day Trippin' with top coat without manipulation (in warm state).
Day Trippin' may be a little punk to photograph (I tried for forever to get the flakes to come out and play), but this polish is beautiful! The purple is bright and vibrant. The pink is bright and vibrant. You can't go wrong either way. I did three coats to get full opacity, but it isn't streaky and didn't end up being too sheer. I wasn't sure how it was going to be with the other color so I figured three coats was good to be safe. It is so much fun and changes almost instantly. No waiting around. The flakes are a nice touch too.

The Throwback Collection is available to pre-order until November 14th. You have plenty of time, but don't wait too long. You don't want it to slip your mind then completely forget. Each polish is only $6.50 and not too harsh on the wallet. It's a special collection considering Pretty & Polished has been around for 5 years. Giving those of us who haven't been around since the beginning a little peek into where she started. Makes me smile seeing that she has remained true to herself since the beginning, but has managed to continue to get better and better. Make sure you are following Pretty & Polished on all of her social media platforms (links before) to stay updated on news, releases, and sales.
What do you think of these four? Do you have any of the originals? I'm curious how these compare. Do you have a favorite polish from the first 5 years of Pretty & Polished?
