I've got a few more pretties from Ellison's Organics to show you all today. She was contacted by a few ladies who are in the ensemble of Hamilton on Broadway to create some polishes inspired by the show. If you're not familiar with the show, it is the story of Alexander Hamilton told with a hip hop spin. Sounds stupid right? That's what I first thought. But after hearing the Hamilton panel at BroadwayCon in January, we knew we had to pay more attention to it. My daughter immediately bought the cast recording and we fell in love! It's a beautiful telling of the story of a founding father who almost was forgotten. Lin-Manuel Miranda is an absolute genius! Back to the reason you're here...the polish! Each of these polishes were inspired by costumes worn throughout the show, and named for lines in some of the songs. I've included the songs for you to listen to while you're browsing. Non-Stop is described as "a beautiful deep blue matte".
Shown is two coats of Non-Stop without top coat.
Non-Stop was originally called Sinners and Saints when it was created, but has since been renamed. I included both songs for you because they are worth listening to! This blue is incredible and a must have. Smooth application and wonderful formula. The brush is easy to work with, so I was able to apply perfectly and not need any clean up.

Summer in the City aka Mind at Work

Summer in the City is described as "a peach polish with a stunning shimmer".
Shown is three coats of Summer in the City with top coat.
Summer in the City was originally called Mind at Work when it was first created, but has since been changed. The new name was taken from the same song as the original name. This beauty was a game changer for me. Super shimmers in light colors like this usually end up being too frost like for me. However, something about this one changed my mind. First of all it wasn't sheer. Two coats gets you full opacity, I did three for good measure. The combination of the peach base and gold shimmer makes this seem to glow. It's the perfect sunrise color!

What'd I Miss? is described as "a purple polish with glitter in a variety of colors and sizes".

What'd I Miss? wasn't a part of the original Hamilton inspired trio. When the third polish decided it was going stain like crazy, she came up with this beauty. A vibrant shade of purple with a beautiful blue shimmer, and the perfect amount of glitter. The jelly base layers the glitter perfectly! Great application and easy to use formula.
