It is week 10 in the Road to PolishCon! I can't believe this series has already been going on for 10 weeks. PolishCon will seriously be here before we know it! It's a new year, so it's time for a new box! Three beloved indie brands got together and created the Seasonal Indie Box. There will be one box for every season...so why not start off with winter? Each box will have four full sized polishes from four different brands. There are three constant brands with each box: Anchor & Heart Lacquer, Colores de Carol, and Turtle Tootsie Polishes, and then one guest brand. The guest brand for the Winter 2017 Seasonal Indie Box is Supernatural Lacquer. Hello, all!! Hope your 2017 is off to a great start! This coming Friday, January 6th, is a big day for Chrissy from Turtle Tootsie Polishes. 5 years ago on that date she was diagnosed with stage 2b breast cancer. Since then, she has battled through chemo and radiation, and is still fighting with neuropathy that was caused by the treatments. To celebrate her surviving the past five years she created a Breast Cancer Anniversary Trio. This trio is beautiful even though it represents a rough period of time. Every year, Chrissy, the lovely lady behind Turtle Tootsie Polish, makes a collection of polish for breast cancer awareness month. She is a 4 year survivor and always donates $1 of every full sized bottle purchased to The National Breast Cancer Foundation. It's such a wonderful way for her to give back and celebrate being a survivor. She will be releasing her 2016 Breast Cancer Collection this Friday, but I have my review and swatches of all seven polishes from the collection to show you all. Let's get to it!

I have a special post for you all today! Chrissy, the lady behind Turtle Tootsie Polish, was approached by Elvenspun to create a trio for the third anniversary of her shop. She designed the polishes, and Chrissy created them. These two ladies work well together, because I am loving what they came up with! Elvenspun has a mixture of things in her shop...from jewelry to sculptures to glassware to paintings and even some covered journals. There are some darling things there, you should definitely poke around. But now, what you came here for...swatches of the lovely Elvenspun Trio!

My husband and I were in the process of moving our daughter's room and renovating it while she was away visiting grandma for a couple weeks. Then, it took a bit for me to get my polish room situated where it was usable. It's still a mess, but I am able to get some work done at least. I'm late to the party with this one, since tomorrow is the last day to purchase this, but you all are going to want to pay attention to this one.
This month's Nouveau Geek Box theme is 80's Video Games. I mean, this is one of the ultimate nostalgic themes I'm most excited about. I am a bit upset that no one created a polish inspired by my favorite old school video game, Galaga!! However, Bohemian Polish, Lollipop Posse Lacquer, Turtle Tootsie Polish, Black Label Nails, Sassy Pants Polish, and First Sunday Handmade all did a beautiful job bringing this theme to life in our favorite little bottles.

I have a fun sort of post to show you all in my first May post. Side note - how in the hell is it already May?! This year is getting out of hand. I don't know if I can handle how fast this year is flying by. Each year seems to go by faster and faster. I don't know why or how it is possible. Anyone else feel this way? Anyway...back to the polish. Whether you're a mom or just want an excuse to buy some new goodies, this is a box you're going to want to money aside for. LE Polish, Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer, Sassy Pants Polish, Supernatural Lacquer, and Turtle Tootsie Polish did an absolutely brilliant job with this box. Each polish speaks to you in different ways...nude for how you feel when your kids aren't around (even if they drive you crazy when they are around), green for the vegetables we have difficulty getting our kids to eat, pink for that rare bubble bath we need more often than we actually get it, burgundy for that glass of wine we keep checking our clocks for to see if it's bedtime yet (no one will judge you if you have a glass of wine before the kids are in bed), and purple for that piece of pie/candy we try to convince ourselves is a sufficient breakfast/lunch/dinner.
