Nouveau Geek Box 80's Video Game Theme Swatch and Review

**Press Samples**
My husband and I were in the process of moving our daughter's room and renovating it while she was away visiting grandma for a couple weeks. Then, it took a bit for me to get my polish room situated where it was usable. It's still a mess, but I am able to get some work done at least. I'm late to the party with this one, since tomorrow is the last day to purchase this, but you all are going to want to pay attention to this one.

This month's Nouveau Geek Box theme is 80's Video Games. I mean, this is one of the ultimate nostalgic themes I'm most excited about. I am a bit upset that no one created a polish inspired by my favorite old school video game, Galaga!! However, Bohemian Polish, Lollipop Posse Lacquer, Turtle Tootsie Polish, Black Label Nails, Sassy Pants Polish, and First Sunday Handmade all did a beautiful job bringing this theme to life in our favorite little bottles.

**WARNINNG PICTURE HEAVY**
How cute is this Pac Man ghost made by First Sunday Handmade?! I love that every box comes with one. It's the perfect little extra for this theme.

Triforce
Black Label Nails' contribution is Triforce, inspired by Zelda.
Triforce is described as "a yellow gold shimmer with silver holo glitter in various sizes".
Shown is three coats of Triforce with top coat.
Triforce is a metallic so it does apply on the streaky side. The brush is small and requires several strokes to cover the nail. If you're one who uses sponges, I highly recommend it. Would make an incredible base for nail art. The color may not be great on me, but I love it oh so much.

80's Block Party
Sassy Pants Polish's contribution is 80's Block Party, inspired by Tetris.
80's Block Party is described as "a black shimmer filled with matte pink, blue, yellow, and purple squares, and holographic silver micro glitter".
Shown is three coats of 80's Block Party with top coat.
80's Block Party is a fun polish! I was always a fan of Tetris, and still am, so I was looking forward to this one. It will need a bit of thinner as it was thick and difficult to work with at first. But a breeze to work with after a bit of thinner was added. Worth it!

Light Cycle
Lollipop Posse Lacquer's contribution is Light Cycle, inspired by Tron.
Light Cycle is described as "a cobalt blue holographic with blue metallic glitter and iridescent flakes".
Shown is three coats of Light Cycle with top coat.
Light Cycle is a stunner! The blue is incredibly vibrant. Smooth application and flawless formula. You could probably get away with two coats, but I needed three to ensure coverage (long story, but I had to stab myself in the back and apply fakes after the moving of furniture broke all mine). She always makes beautiful polishes, but there is something special about her blues and purples. She killed this one!

Pinball Wizard
Bohemian Polish's contribution is Pinball Wizard, inspired by classic pinball games at the arcade.
Pinball Wizard is described as "a purple jelly filled with metallic gold and purple glitter, and matte pink, blue and purple micro glitter".
Shown is three coats of Pinball Wizard with top coat.

Space Invaders
Turtle Tootsie Polish's contribution is Space Invaders, inspired by Space Invaders.
Space Invaders is described as "a dark moss green holographic lacquer with green shimmer".
Shown is three coats of Space Invaders with top coat.
Space Invaders is going to blow you away. I love dark polishes, so I fell in love with this one as soon as I unwrapped it. Then, I got it on my nails. It is a stunner! Smooth formula and great application. This polish makes up for the lack of Galaga in this box.
