Tip Top Nails Review #1

**Product was sent to me for my honest review. All opinions are my own.**
I was recently contacted by Tip Top Nails to review some of their products. I gladly accepted. I'm always up for trying new polishes and seeing what all is out there. I'm a fan of their Facebook page and I haven't really been able to tell much about their products. They do a lot of tips and tricks and nail art on there. If you know me, you know I completely suck at it! So, with the amount of nail art contests they have on their page, I really wasn't sure what I was getting myself into with this review.

Then this lovely package arrived...

Tip Top Nails - Toughen Up Maxi Growth Top Coat, Nail Chic - Astronaut, Fairy Dust, Get Reddy, Iced Almond and Toughen Up Maxi Growth Base Coat

Tip Top is a South African company that makes vegan polishes. In being vegan, they are completely free of Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP (Dibuthyl Phthalate) and Camphor and they are made with raw materials. Another plus, is they don't test on animals, making them cruelty free. All huge positives in the nail polish community!

First of all, I love that they sent the top and base coats! Having top and base coats from the same brand really shows off the polishes at their best. So, I knew they were serious about this review. In the bottles, these colors seem basic. At this point, I was still not sure what I was going to be putting on my nails. I couldn't decide where to start, so I turned over the responsibility over to my husband.

Here's which one he decided on for me to test first...

Tip Top Nails - Iced Almond (Along with the obvious top coat and base coat) Iced Almond is a shimmery very pale nude polish.

First, I used the base coat. It was smooth and dried quickly. Then I did 2 coats of Iced Almond. It showed some brush strokes and had a little bubbling, but it wasn't extremely noticeable once the top coat was in place. No pulling, such a smooth formula. Top coat went on like a dream. I never even noticed the small bubbles until the next day.

My fist impression of Iced Almond, in the bottle, was not great. It looked like others I had seen and it was my least favorite. Wasn't looking forward to testing this one...

Then it happened... That first coat was on. I went to better lighting, and I fell in love. This was so simple. That pale nude is probably the same shade as my skin without a tan. The shimmer is beautiful! Iced Almond is the PERFECT name for this polish! It reminds me of the glazed almonds on top of a bear claw.

It's absolutely lovely! I think this is going to be my second favorite nude polish! You all have seen me post about my favorite nude so many times before so I won't mention it in this post.

All in all, Tip Top Nails made an AMAZING first impression on me! They are working on getting an online store up and running. In the mean time, you can stalk them on their Facebook page or on their website. I've been told, when the online store is up and running, the polishes will be around $4 for those of us in the US. (Yes, I was shocked at how amazing the price was too! I can't wait to get my hands on some more!!) Over the next few days you'll get to see more from Tip Top Nails since I have 3 more colors to show you!

Happy Polishing!!
