LynBDesigns 12 Days of Holo Mystery Box Swatch and Review and Day 13 of 25 Days of Polish Giveaway

11:17 PM

**Nothing to Disclose**

LynBDesigns decided to do a little something different this year. She had her fabulous 50% off sale for Black Friday, and she released a darling trio, and had the 4 LE polishes you could either purchase or get via GWP. On top of all that, she decided to release a 12 Days of Holo Mystery Box. One price got you thirteen individually wrapped polishes. Yes, it is called 12 Days of Holo Mystery Box, but the thirteenth item is just a little something extra. Well, there is no way I could pass it up. It was on sale for Black Friday and then the additional 50% off...yes, I just HAD to have it. Her LE polishes are always killer so I knew this would be something special. Before I even got mine I wanted it to do well because hopefully she will do this again next year. It's the perfect gift for yourself or someone else. It could even be used as an advent calendar for the polish lover in your life...yes, we all know that for some that person is just ourselves. Well, it's been a while since it was released, and I know she has a few left in stock, so if you are interested in buying it and being surprised...just skip all the swatches. If you are interested in buying it and want to know what the polishes look like...then keep reading!

No, today's giveaway isn't one of these mystery boxes, but it's still something good!

**WARNING PICTURE HEAVY**
I love how this came packaged!!

Day 1 - Bauble
Bauble is described as "a gold shimmer base with purple shimmer and gold galaxy holo glitter".
Shown is three coats of Bauble with B-Quick top coat.
Bauble is delicate and ethereal. Almost angelic. It took three coats to get it to full opacity, but it doesn't end up being thick on the nail. It is sheer enough it would even make a lovely topper.

Day 2 - Twinkle
Twinkle is described as "a blue base with silver micro flakes and linear holo".
Shown is three coats of Twinkle with B-Quick top coat.
Twinkle does just that...twinkle. It's a beautiful metallic, but then that holo pops and it's a completely different polish. Smooth application, but a little sheer. Three coats is definitely needed in this case.

Day 3 - Merry
Merry is described as "a salmon pink linear holo".
Shown is two coats of Merry with B-Quick top coat.
Merry is one of my favorites from the bunch. The color is soft, dusty, and delicate. Smooth application and flawless formula.

Day 4 - Cheer
Cheer is described as "a deep purple crelly with linear holo".
Shown is two coats of Cheer with B-Quick top coat.
Cheer is coming across as blue in these photos instead of purple, but that doesn't make the polish any less beautiful. It had a great formula and smooth application. I was pleased that it only took two coats to get it fully opaque.

Day 5 - Peace
Peace is described as "a gingerbread linear holo with color shift from blue to green to yellow".
Shown is three coats of Peace with B-Quick top coat.
Peace was a surprise favorite for me. I unwrapped it and didn't think twice about it. Then, I put it on. The color is delicate but once that shift pops it is wonderfully elegant. Smooth application but a little sheer. Use three coats for full opacity.

Day 6 - Jingle
Jingle is described as "a platinum flakie linear holo".
Shown is three coats of Jingle with B-Quick top coat.
Jingle is the perfect winter silver. I love that it is actually flakie base and not a flat out metallic. You could use it as a topper, but know that it is very concentrated and one coat won't just be a dusting of flakies.

Day 7 - Noel
Noel is described as "a clear base filled with sapphire galaxy holo glitter".
Shown is three coats of Noel with B-Quick top coat.
Noel is jam packed with glitter. It took me three coats to get to where my nails are here, but it wasn't fully opaque. Your best bet with this one is to do the sponging method if you want full coverage, or just use it as a topper. It was easy to work with and is so classy and simple. You can have some fun with it!

Day 8 - Joy
Joy is described as "a pink/gold flakie linear holo".
Shown is three coats of Joy with B-Quick top coat.
Joy is a bright, pink-leaning, fuchsia filled with flakies and holo. It's a wonderfully festive color that will be great as base for some holiday nail art. It is sheer, but thin. Three coats are needed for full opacity. The formula is thin so it won't become too thick for nail art.

Day 9 - Magic
Magic is described as "a black scattered holo with blue shify shimmer".
Shown is three coats of Magic with B-Quick top coat.
Magic is the dark, mysterious beauty of the bunch. I was a little surprised that it took three coats to reach full opacity, but it didn't bother me. You get the beautiful depth from the holo and shimmer. I believe she made it slightly sheer to aid in you getting that depth and dimension.

Day 10 - Jolly
Jolly is described as "a pale kelly green linear holo".
Shown is two coats of Jolly with B-Quick top coat.
Jolly is more of a mix of mint and turquoise than a kelly green...even a pale kelly green. But does the technical term of a color really matter? Nah, didn't think so. This one had a crazy smooth application for a crelly. Usually the first coat is a bit streaky, but not here. You only need two coats to get fully opaque and you are good to go! Not a single issue. Just a beautiful color with a whole lot of shimmer!

Day 11 - Sparkle
Sparkle is described as "a deep berry base with silver galaxy holo and color shift from pink to orange to purple".
Shown is three coats of Sparkle with B-Quick top coat.
Sparkle is a rich shade of purple...even though it is a jelly. Then, you add in all the sparkle, glitter, and flakies...and you get dimension on top of rich color. Beautiful application, but slightly sheer. I did three coats to get the flakies to do more coverage. Plus, there was still a bit of VNL after two coats.

Day 12 - Love
Love is described as "a blue linear holo with color shift from pink to yellow to orange".
Shown is three coats of Love with B-Quick top coat.
Love is the perfect way to end this box. Yeah, she says blue, but I say teal. The shimmer in this one is absolutely everything. It's calming and delicate. Exactly what you need around this crazy holiday season.

B-Quick top coat is described as "a 5-free fast drying top coat".
Shown above is B-Quick top coat over all swatches.
B-Quick top coat was the surprise 13th item in the box. It had a smooth application and dried wonderfully quick. I used it in all of the above swatches. It didn't dull the holo one bit.
