Black Cat Lacquer Review #4

12:23 AM

I know it's really late today, but my husband finally came home after being out and about in the areas effected by hurricane Sandy so we were all able just relax together. I still wanted to be able to get my post up though. I haven't forgotten about you all. :o)

Yes, I do have another Black Cat Lacquer for you! Only one more left after this! In the bottle, this was my least favorite of the bunch, but it changed my mind after application. Anyway, you know how I've been calling these the "Party Monster" Collection because they all remind me of the movie? This one is actually named after Party Monster! This is what it says on their ETSY shop under the listing for the bottle, "It doesn't matter what you look like! I mean if you have a hunchback, just throw a little glitter on it, honey, and go dancing! Inspired by one of my fave movies, Party Monster is a hot pink jelly base with dazzling aqua sparkles and matte glitter & shards!

Black Cat Lacquer - Party Monster

Look at all that matte glittery goodness!

Left to right: 1 coat, 2 coats, 3 coats

I love how Party Monster is so funky and feminine all at once. I love the hints of minor sparkles amongst the matte glitter.

This is 3 coats of Party Monster. This was my favorite way to wear Party Monster. I won't ever layer it over a polish again. This is the way it was meant to be worn. Just lovely!!

Left to right: Pop Beauty - Foggy, Cult Nails - Nevermore, Max Makeup Cherimoya - Matte.n.a - Matinee, Nicole by OPI - All Kendall-ed Up and Zoya - Shay.

As seen above from pinky to thumb. (I didn't enjoy any of these so I'm not going to go into any major detail on any 1 of them. I will just let you know what is what and what I did.)

This is 2 coats of Party Monster over 2 coats of Pop Beauty - Foggy.

Now can you see why this is meant to be on it's own? Now, on the downside, I think my bottle is way more of a muted pale pink (really just a tinted jelly base) than a hot pink base. In the swatches on Party Monster's listing, it shows a really pretty hot pink jelly base. I can't say that I'm disappointed in this one because I really do love it, but I don't think this particular bottle is how it was supposed to be.

You can grab Party monster and several others for $9 a bottle on Black Cat Lacquer's ETSY shop. You can also keep up with news on their Facebook page
