Enkelini The Grass is Greener

Ok, lovelies, any fellow holo freaks out there?? I love holo polishes!!! Linear, scattered, glitter... love 'em all!! My favorite color is green, so when this beauty arrived I flipped!

Enkelini - The Grass is Greener

The Grass is Greener is a "vivid green linear holographic polish in a 3 free base." I hate that the light in my house doesn't show off the holoy goodness!

Picture taken under halogen light to show the holo.

This is two coats of The Grass is Greener with nothing but a clear base coat underneath.

You can see the holo on my nails in my normal lighting, just not in the bottle.

So in lust!

Under halogen light.

Pardon the Oompa Loompa hands, but the holo really comes out to play here!

Even though The Grass is Greener looked beautiful on it's own with two coats, I still wanted to see what the difference would be if I layered it over something.

Left to right: Cult Nails - Nevermore, Spoiled by Wet 'n' Wild - Permission to Proceed, Essie - Mojito Madness, SinfulColors - HD Nails and Max Makeup Charimoya - Matte.n.a - Matinee.

As seen above from pinky to thumb.

This is one coat of The Grass is Greener over one coat of Cult Nails - Nevermore. Such a beautiful pairing, but the green doesn't stand out. What's the point of having a beautiful green linear holo polish if you only see the holo and not the green? So, I loved it, but it's not what I wanted to get out of the pairing.

This is one coat of The Grass is Greener over two coats of Spoiled by Wet 'n' Wild - Permission to Proceed. This was my favorite pairing! The green is beautiful and the holo just POPS off the nail. It's jelly goodness at it's best. It's like each one knew just what the other needed and each put out their best. It is just perfection!

This is one coat of The Grass is Greener over two coats of Essie - Mojito Madness. This pairing was beautiful, but the holo in The Grass is Greener doesn't pop like it did over Permission to Proceed. I have a feeling it's all in the difference between PtP being a jelly and MM being a creme.

This is one coat of The Grass is Greener over two coats of SinfulColors - HD Nails. You can see the holo at certain angles, but the pearliness in HD Nails over takes the holo in The Grass is Greener. They are constantly competing to get in the forefront. It won't work. They just don't work together.

This is one coat of The Grass is Greener over two coats of Max Makeup Cherimoya - Matte.n.a - Matinee. I was surprised how much I loved The Grass is Greener over this matte white. Matinee really lets TGiG really show itself off. It doesn't do anything to take over the mani, it just gives The Grass is Greener a beautiful platform to stand on.

Whether it's alone or layered on another polish to help accentuate it's beauty, The Grass is Greener is a gorgeous linear holo that will make your nails the envy of anyone who loves beautiful, sparkly things. Don't miss out on this beauty! You can buy The Grass is Greener on Enkelini's ETSY shop for $12 for a full sized bottle and $5 for a mini bottle. There are several other beautiful linear holo polishes as well as glitter polishes. You can keep up with news, swatches and sales on Enkelini's Facebook page. Trust me, you will regret not having at least one of them in your collection!
