Influenster Beauty Blogger VoxBox Review

12:52 PM

I haven't really done a post that wasn't nail polish related since I first started this blog, but I received the newest VoxBox from Influenster to review. I figured I might as well review it here. Well, there were a couple items I didn't/couldn't review, but here goes!

All the goodies that were in the Beauty Blogger VoxBox.

NYC New York Color (Facebook page) Individual Eyes Custom Compact: Retails for $4.99
"This all-in-one compact comes with everything you need for a complete eye look: primer, illuminator, applicator and complementing shadows. With four colors, specially coordinated to intensify and enhance your eye color, you can create a look as individual as you are. Make your eyes pop!

It's a VERY rare occasion that I wear greys or a smokey eye. I figured it would be best to show these off on my arm instead. The colors went on smooth. I didn't have to cake it on the applicator or do several coats to get the colors to show up. It may not be a normal occurrence for me to wear smokey colors, but I will definitely keep this around to use the next time I do!

Bath & Body Works (Facebook page) (Mini Candle: Retails for $3.50
"Mini but mighty! Bath & Body Works Mini Candles provide an amazing fragrance experience exclusively developed and tested by a team of Home Fragrance experts, including the world's best master perfumers."

This candle smelled absolutely amazing, but we can't burn candles in our house. :o( I was sniffing the candle though...nonstop. My mom loves candles so I sent her the coupon and I sent the candle with my husband to his work to pass it onto one of his "work wives". I really wish I could have used it. I tell you what, the second we get a place where I can burn candles, I will be heading to Bath & Body Works to grab some of these!

EBoost (Facebook page) Daily Health Booster: Retails for $28 for 20 packets, $39 for 30 packets or $39 for 12 shots
"EBoost will boost your mood, focus and immunity with natural ingredients and no crash. As a shot or an easy-to-mix powder and in four flavors, you'll feel great whether you choose Orange, Pink Lemonade, Acai Pomegranate or Super Berry."

This was another item I couldn't review. Products like this never sit well with my stomach. I have given it to my husband to try for me, but he hasn't had a chance to try it yet. As soon as he does, I'll revise this and let you know his thoughts.

Goody (Facebook page) Simple Styles Spin Pin: Retails for $7.29
"Never have the time for a great updo? Not anymore? The Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin allows you to easily achieve three chic updo styles. Simply twirl your hair up and spin the two Spin Pins in for a perfect undone bun, side bun or double bun!"

This was the item I was most excited to see. My hair is constantly in a bun. I just prefer it up away from my face and off my neck. I was a dancer for sometime and a bun just feels more natural to me. I just always hate using a ton of bobby pins to keep it put together. These are perfection though!! I will definitely be grabbing a couple more of these. Screw one in on the side and another in from the top or bottom. Stays all day! Even in chasing around my 3 year old!

Boots (Facebook page) No. 7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Balm: Retails for $8.49 (at Ulta)
Boots (Facebook page) No. 7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream: Retails for $13.99 (at Ulta)
"Keep your skin looking and feeling beautiful with Boots No. 7 Beautiful Skin hypo-allergenic system. Try this new and easy to use two-step range of everyday skincare cleansers and moisturizers, tailored to your specific skin type eliminating the need for toners."

I was probably way more skeptical about these products than I needed to be. As women, we are constantly searching for those perfect cleansers/moisturizers that work well with our skin type, doesn't dry us out, doesn't make us break out or completely ruin everything we've been working hard to keep away. I was very impressed with these. My skin felt great immediately! There was no waiting until the morning when I woke up or using it for a week to see results. Before I was even able to put on the night cream, my skin felt clean and smooth. The night cream didn't leave my skin oily or feeling overly moisturized. Once I finish what I am currently using, this line will more than likely be what I buy next.

Not Your Mother's (Facebook page) Kinky Moves Curl Defining Hair Cream: Retails for $6 for 4oz bottle
"Kinky Moves is infused with natural grape seed & jasmine to encourage natural curls and eliminate frizz and fly-aways."

I rarely blow dry my hair. I prefer how it looks when air dried. I've always been very hesitant to use product in it because my hair always get hard and crunchy. My fingers were tightly crossed as I proceeded to try this on my hair. I wanted it to work so badly!! I showered, towel dried my hair and combed it out as usual. It said to apply root to tip and scrunch as applying. I did just that. The cream smells amazing! Not too fragrant, just a night light scent. Applies smooth not too thick, and it DOESN'T make your hair crunchy when it dries! LOVE this product and will be going back for more!!

Kiss (Facebook page) Ever Pro Lashes Starter Kit: Retails for $5.99
"Bring the salon home with this eyelash starter kit, complete with eyelashes, adhesive and applicator. This latex-free glue has a 24-hour hold, for lashes you can bat all day and all night."

I'm going to be real and say that fake eyelashes completely freak me out. Not when I see them on people, but the thought of having to put them on myself and wear them almost gives me anxiety for some reason. It's for that reason, I couldn't review these.

Thanks for sticking through that. LOL Some hits and some misses, but it was fun to go through and show you all.

**These products were provided for my honest review. All opinions are my own.**
Happy Polishing!!
