Red Dog Designs - I Love Paris & Be Careful, It's My Heart

Today I have two beautiful top coats from Red Dog Designs' Ol' Blue Eyes Collection. If these two are any indication how beautiful this collection is, hold onto your wallet. There are 9 polishes, total, in the Ol' Blue Eyes Collection: Young At Heart, Hey! Jealous Lover, Let's Fall In Love, I Love Paris, Be Careful, It's My Heart, My Funny Valentine, My Stardust Melody, Come Rain or Come Shine and Besame Mucho.

The two I have for you are I Love Paris and Be Careful, It's My Heart. I was very impressed with everything about these two polishes! How I have not tried Red Dog Designs before? I have no idea. Beautiful and very well thought out.

Red Dog Designs - I Love Paris

I Love Paris is described as "iridescent color change glitters, various sized aqua, green, lavender, white, blue, pink and yellow glitters with microfine holo glitter and white hearts". Such a straight forward description for such a dreamy polish.

This is three coats of I Love Paris over a clear base coat. Amazing application! No placing or fishing glitters. They lay flat without any coaxing. Great dry time, no pulling. I Love Paris completely stole my heart at the second coat. It's flirty and fun and is something I would want to wear if I were romping around the Eiffel Tower.

My camera finally caught some of the sparkle! It's beautiful!

Now that we've seen how gorgeous it is alone, let's toss it over some different colors.

Left to right: SinfulColors - Smokin', Zoya - Neely, Cult Nails - My Kind of Cool Aid, Zoya - Brizia and Zoya - Piaf.

This is two coats of I Love Paris over two coats of SinfulColors - Smokin'. Smokin' is a dark grey creme. I knew a darker color would help let the tiny holo come out more. This was a lovely pairing. Nothing bad about it, but Smokin' didn't let I Love Paris shine nearly as much as it did when it was on it's own.

This is two coats of I Love Paris over two coats of Zoya - Neely. Neely is a pale mint creme. I fell in love with this pairing and can't wait to do a full manicure with it. Neely just added to the playfulness in I Love Paris and really let it shine.

This is two coats of I Love Paris over two coats of Cult Nails - My Kind of Cool Aid. My Kind of Cool Aid is a dusty purple creme with a silver sparkle through out. I thought I'd LOVE this combination, but the sparkle in My Kind of Cool Aid drowned out the sparkle in I Love Paris. It thought it would add to it and it didn't.

This is two coats of I Love Paris over two coats of Zoya - Brizia. Brizia is a sheer purple tones taupe shimmer. This pairing turned out to be all wrong. Brizia is so pale that it didn't let the softer glitters be seen.

This is two coats of I Love Paris over Zoya - Piaf. Piaf is a daffodil shimmer. This pairing was absolutely beautiful! The yellow glitter was brighter than Piaf so you were still able to see it. It is bright and playful and you can't help but smile while this is on your nails.

Red Dog Designs - Be Careful, It's My Heart

Be Careful, It's My Heart is described as "various blue, silver, holo silver and chartreuse glitters, with microfine blue holo glitter and blue hearts". I love blue glitter so I was super excited about this! And I hadn't seen a polish with the blue glitter. Be Careful, It's My Heart is a fun and vibrant polish.

This is three coats of Be Careful, It's My Heart over a clear base coat. Three coats is a bit much for me. I really liked two coats. You could see all the glitter pieces and it wasn't jumbled. Three coats is just messy, but i wanted you to see how much coverage you'd get. Application was beautiful. Once again, there was no fishing for glitter or trying to place it in bald spots.

The combination of colors and glitters is fantastic! The heart glitters lay flat and aren't bothersome. It was so easy to work with.

This is two coats of Be Careful, It's My Heart over two coats of OPI - The Color of Minnie. The Color of Minnie is a bright red shimmer. Blues and yellows look great with reds so I had to try this. I was a little disappointed. I don't know if it was this specific polish or tone of red, but this combination did nothing for me.

This is two coats of Be Careful, It's My Heart over two coats of China Glaze - For Audrey. For Audrey is a perfect "Tiffany blue" creme. These two polishes complimented each other beautifully! I enjoyed this combination and thought it was lovely, but I might have liked it a bit more if I had picked a different shade of blue to go under Be Careful, It's My Heart.

This is two coats of Be Careful, It's My Heart over three coats of LynBDesigns - Pinkmalion. Pinkmalion is a perfect pink creme. This combination was my favorite of the five. Contrasting colors made every little aspect of Be Careful, It's My Heart stand out and hold it's own against a pink that could have easily stolen the show.

This is two coats of Be Careful, It's My Heart over two coats of Beau Khaki. Beau Khaki is a beautiful olive/fatigue green creme. This was my unconventional pairing. I thought I was going to love it, but the color of the blue glitters didn't look right on that shade of green.

This is two coats of Be Careful, It's My Heart over three coats of Flower Beauty - Eye of the Tiger Lily. Eye of the Tiger Lily is a bright orange jelly. Orange, blue and yellow/gold is a wonderful combination and this was no exception. Very playful and vibrant, just like Be Careful, It's My Heart is. My second favorite pairing of the five. Blue and orange is one of those combinations I can't get tired of.

These are just two of the nine polishes available in the Ol' Blue Eyes Collection from Red Dog Designs. In looking at other swatches, they all blow me away! They are now available for $8.75 per bottle at their Big Cartel shop. Out of the two I showed you, I Love Paris is a must have and Be Careful, It's My Heart would be very hard to pass up! Take the time to go check them all out. You won't be sorry!
