A Shade of Shay!

10:09 PM

Good evening, ladies! Hope everyone is having a wonderful week and looking forward to Friday and the weekend as much as I am! Sorry I haven't done much, I'm just mostly cleaning this week since my family decided to make a last minute trip up for the weekend. Very excited to see them! Anyway, I didn't get to play with my nails like I would have liked this week, but when I woke up this morning 1 nail was completely bare. I have no idea how it happend! Couldn't have that! So as soon as Maggie went down for her nap, I did a little cleaning then I opted for a quick nude mani. I know, shocking! Why would someone do nude right before Easter when you can have fun with pastel colors?! Yes, well, I have a feeling when my mom gets here she's going to want to go to the nail salon to get mani/pedis! It's been a while since I've had a professional one so I'm excited. Yes, I do bring my own colors and my mom is bringing up her last 2 Julep Maven boxes so I may just be borrowing hers!! We shall see! Back to my mani today... it's just to hold me over. I just needed something quick and simple and I didn't want to sit and rack my brain for 30 minutes trying to decide on a color. haha This is my go to nude now and I am in heaven!!

Zoya - Shay

Here is the description of it on their website... "Zoya Nail Polish in Shay can be best described as: A dense, fleshy light peach with slight orange-red undertones and a hint of pearly silver shimmer. An opaque, full-coverage nude that compliments warm skin tones." A very long description if I do say so. It's a light nude with a slight shimmer to it. I'm not usually a nude fan, but for some reason when I saw it I had to have it. It was meant to be it seems. This is 2 coats of the creme based beauty. It went on streaky but dried smooth. So I was nervous there for a minute. My SV is very thick and thinner doesn't seem to be working too well so I just used a simple Wet 'n' Wild Wild Shine top coat... it did the job. Over all, I'm extremely happy! No real downsides here other than now I realize that I need more Zoya in my life!!! And soon!!

Happy Polishing!!
