LynBDesigns Reindeer Games

10:00 AM

Who know there would be a soft spot in my heart for the color brown? Well, more specifically...brown glitter. There is just something about it that I can almost never pass up! Well, this has fast turned into one of my favorites from the LynBDesigns Hometown Holiday Collection.

LynBDesigns - Reindeer Games

Reindeer Games is a clear base filled with "red hearts for Rudolph's nose, black hexes for hoofs, brown and gold glitter for fur and white shards for snow." FYI - That's not just gold glitter, it's gold HOLO! HUGE difference and it's gorgeous!!

Left to right: 1 coat, 2 coats, 3 coats

LOVE LOVE LOVE all the holo in Reindeer Games! Does this remind anyone of another polish I love?! Well, there are hearts in this and the hexes are black instead of brown, but either way I love it!

This is three coats of Reindeer Games.

Slightly blurred to show of the holo.

Not every nail got a heart, but I was ok with that. I didn't have to fish for the ones I did get.

Once again, smooth application, no pulling no dabbing glitter into bald areas. A dream glitter!

It's just lovely!

Left to right: Nicole by OPI - Khloe Had A Little Lam-Lam, Cult Nails - Cruisin' Nude, Essie - Very Structured, Rimmel London - Rags to Riches and A England - Perceval

As seen above from pinky to thumb.

This is one coat of Reindeer Games over two coats of Nicole by OPI - Khloe Had A Little Lam-Lam. Khloe Had A Little Lam-Lam is a very deep, dark teal. I thought it would be something different to use instead of a black, but KHALLL and Reindeer Games just didn't compliment each other that I thought they might. Both beautiful alone, just not with each other.

This is one coat of Reindeer Games over two coats of Cult Nails - Cruisin' Nude. Cruisin' Nude is a beautiful nude with hints of a pink. It's gorgeous and should be a staple in every polish lover's collection. This was a no-brainer pairing for me. It was simple pairing, but when the light caught it just right, I was blown away. Sometimes you just need some subtleness.

This is one coat of Reindeer Games over two coats of Essie - Very Structured. Very Structured is a clay redish-brown color. I thought it would be perfect for this because it reminded me of reindeer fur. What a wonderful pairing it turned out to be! A perfect reindeer mani without the nail art. (Which is perfect for me since I'm not great with the nail art.)

This is one coat of Reindeer Games over two coats of Rimmel London - Rags to Riches. Rags to Riches is an olive shimmer. It's beautiful, but this combination didn't do it for me or each other. The shimmer in RtR doesn't let the holo in Reindeer Games come out to play. (see what I did there? haha)

This is one coat of Reindeer Games over two coats of A England - Perceval. Of course I needed to put it over a red. I thought this would completely fail, but I really did like this. Red glitter is so difficult to put on a red polish, but the heart holds its own.

Once again, Jenna made a wonderful polish in Reindeer Games. Not as versatile as some of us like glitter top coats to be, but it's completely forgivable and you really don't notice. You'll find a pairing you love and you'll wear it that way every time. I already know which one I'm going to be doing. Do you?

So head on over to LynBDesigns ETSY shop and snag up this lovely polish! It may be called Reindeer Games, but I can guarantee you'll want to wear it year round. You can find it and several others for $8 a bottle. Also don't forget to head over to her Facebook page to stay updated on swatches, news and sales.
