Trelly's M.I.S.C. Polish To The Moon And Back

10:46 AM

I'm going to show you a couple beautiful glitters from Trelly's M.I.S.C. Polish. The second I saw this polish, and the name, I immediately thought of a book my husband often reads to our daughter. Then and there, I knew this polish would hold a special spot in my heart.

Trelly's M.I.S.C. Polish - To The Moon And Back

To The Moon And Back is a clear base filled with silver holo micro glitter and bar glitter, medium sized turquoise square glitter and hex glitter and dark blue/purple (I really can't tell which color it is) shard glitter.

Left to right: 1 coat, 2 coats, 3 coats

Once again, another beautiful blue glitter!! This one didn't go on thick, THANK GOODNESS! I might have dipped my brush about twice per coat, but this was wonderful. Coverage was great! No pulling, dabbing or fishing! Not necessarily a smooth application, but a glitter polish isn't really expected to be smooth.

This is three coats of To The Moon And Back.

I love the colors in this glitter bomb. Each color and shape really helps in adding depth to it.

Tried to blur it to get some of the holo to participate.

You can see it a bit in this picture.

Left to right: L'Oreal - Charmed, I'm Sure, Cult Nails - Untamed, OPI - Blue Moon Lagoon (black label), L'Oreal - Club Prive and A England - Tristam.

As seen above from pinky to thumb.

This is one coat of To The Moon And Back over two coats of L'Oreal - Charmed, I'm Sure. Charmed, I'm Sure is a lovely rose tinted copper. I thought this would be a fun and different option instead of popping it over a nude color. The blue glitter and rosey-copper color were beautiful together! Such a lovely surprise pairing.

This is one coat of To The Moon And Back over two coats of Cult Nails - Untamed. Untamed is a bright but soft pink jelly filled holo macro glitter. And if pink and blue don't go together, I don't know what does. So fun and playful! Will definitely be doing this again in a full mani!

This is one coat of To The Moon And Back over two coats of OPI - Blue Moon Lagoon (black label). Blue Moon Lagoon is a gorgeous pale blue linear holo. I knew right off the bat I'd be pairing To The Moon And Back with it. And look, was I wrong to? NOOOOO!!! This is beautiful! It almost looks like it's one polish. They were meant to be!!

This is one coat of To The Moon And Back over two coats of L'Oreal - Club Prive. Club Prive is a dustier version of "Tiffany blue". I thought these two would compliment each other in a quirky way, but I wasn't impressed. Club Prive didn't do anything special for To The Moon And Back.

This is one coat of To The Moon And Back over two coats of A England - Tristam. Tristam is a deep galaxy blue filled with beautiful glass fleck. Yet another beautiful pairing with To The Moon And Back. The only downside to this pairing is that the dark glitters are partially hidden...partially, not completely. Tristam just added that little bit of depth and really put this mani in space. Bringing the whole thing full circle back to the name of the polish...To The Moon And Back.

As you can see, not really a bad pairing in the bunch, but I'm least thrilled with the #4 pairing. That's not saying anything bad about To The Moon And Back, the base color just didn't do anything to enhance it's natural beauty. Unfortunately, To The Moon And Back isn't available right now, but she has several lovely holiday polishes available on their ETSY shop for $9 a bottle. Also keep up with news, swatches and sales over at their Facebook page. She makes a great quality polish so you won't want to overlook anything in their shop. :o)

Happy Polishing!!
